Nice work!!

I finished this model a year or so ago.... (On this site.)

An interesting subject with an equally interesting history.

(Just make sure you measure the dowels for Masts, etc carefully, there is not much room for error in the material supplied.)

Let me know if I can be of assistance at any stage.

Enjoy!!

Cheers....HOF.

Lovely book of sketches of original Pen Duick, of the same, name published by Gallimard

in October 2001. Authors may be Du Croquis A' Aquarelle and Marc P.G. Berthier. My uncertany

about the authors is that the entire book is in French. Sketches are in color and black and white

and show details of both interior and deck arrangements. Used book when I Built my model of Pen Duick

as a source of information.

I double planked the hull with beech veneer.

I cut off the stern in order to obtain a neat finish at the ends of the 2nd planks and  reshaped it using a block made of mahogany veneer layers .

I love that green color. Looks so realistic.

What color is this? Out of a can or spray gun?

Since i find this ship to be rather beautiful i am thinking about buying the kit as a christmas present for me. Yet Artesania Latina isn't exactly blessed with the most stelar reputation and so i would like to know if the kit's quality is good or if there are major problems with it.

Thanks,

Daniel
