To stop myself going stir crazy I've downloaded some free card model templates from Paper-replika.com.

Watching Jack do his magic with the armour kits he has, I thought I would have a go at this Sherman 20200421_143905.thumb.jpg.34c6dbc1bf2078cf3c384677d3ff761a.jpg

got the main body done and now it's on to the tracks and turret

As I said these are free, just need ink and some 220gsm card.

Cheers

Very cool! I may have to take a look at these, I struggle with cutting some of the smaller bits so I am interested in finding a nice laser cut kit to try out. Anyhow, I'll stop my rambling and watch the rest of the build.

Thanks for dropping by everyone, this was supposed to be another kit build but lockdown has held up delivery so I found these card models online, so depending on how much longer I'm unable to go to work I've got enough of these to keep me going.

So after a quick start I've slowed up making the wheels and suspension for the tracks. To be honest I'm finding it slightly difficult to cut holes neatly, but I get there.20200421_230442.thumb.jpg.1fb171348d6bb0ed987f5c5252392c23.jpg20200421_230433.thumb.jpg.50287f30ac958f309d16e302821bea50.jpg

I've got 16 more wheels to make then I'll move on to the tracks.

cheers 😊👍

You will be done with them before you know it Edward. And by that time you will be well practiced in cutting neat holes!:D

Thanks everyone for looking in 😁 and the likes.

After a therapeutic break putting some planking on Triton I'm back to the wheels with renewed vigour.

Finished all of them and glued them on. Put the turret together and made up the main weapon! Turret just dry placed. There is a lot of details to put on the bodywork and lots of equipment and then the crew.20200425_212242.thumb.jpg.0c13a6c6f91d48762388554109f6411b.jpg20200425_212157.thumb.jpg.f8479b2c767a44bb2c1685a17e1a787a.jpg20200426_151200.thumb.jpg.d7cd935559aaee98f4e0ce8729e7bb9c.jpg

And I thought this was going be quick and easygoing 😆

Hello again,  I'm putting this on hold for a bit as I've started a different one, soon as I get a bit more done on it I'll do a log for it.

Had a week off from the workroom and can't find the motivation for the Sherman's many small pieces at the moment.

Cheers
