Old Collingwood Posted August 13, 2022 Author Share #2041 Posted August 13, 2022 (edited) Evening all, I have been away from the bench for a few days as I had a bedroom to decorate (not too nice in warm conditions) anyways on with my build - I cracked on and added a few washes and then my normal dust dry brush to my 5th KGL duo, so they are finished apart from my flat top coat that will be applied to all of those completed in my box. Next was to continue with 54th/55th Ligne Fusiliers painting their details etc. OC. It looks quite dramatic but it lacks the realism that your use of wshes acheives. Excellent Alan Thank you so much Alan, its a challenge to get the right amount of detail from the washes/dry brushing without over doing it, they need to show a good level of dirt/dust from the very muddy conditions during the battle. Old Collingwood Posted September 4, 2022 Author Share #2063 Posted September 4, 2022 (edited) No progress as such as I have had the day off watching tv, not long finished watching Smithsonian Channel about War machines - this mornings was about the OH6 (little bird) one particular bird was flying in NAM as part of a Two ship with a Cobra when the Cobra was shot down and the little bird went in to rescue the crew, it landed in a paddy field and the skids was getting stuck so they had to loose as much weigh as possible throwing out all sorts of stuff, it was then able to lift out but only by red lining the engine. They made it back safe but the engine was not too good. One of these bad boys - OC.
