Welcome aboard! I would say no; I think that looks like a great kit choice and there are a lot of logs on here to look at for help. Good luck and have fun!

Welcome to MSW, Levmiller.   I go along with the others.   However, here's a few suggestions.

1) Look at the other builds for this model.  You'll get info on what's a problem and what's not.

2) Open a build log of your own as it's good way to have other sets of eyes on your progress and to get help.

As others have said opening a build log is a great way to show your work, get help, and work your way through any issues you may encounter. The Lady Nelson makes a great model.

Very exciting!

Ask them either a build log or in the appropriate category (https://modelshipworld.com/forum/12-shop-notes-ship-modeling-tips-techniques-and-research/) You may not get enough visibility if you ask them here.

The best place to ask about wood is here:  https://modelshipworld.com/forum/20-wood-discussionwhere-to-use-it-where-to-get-it-what-types-are-best-how-to-finish-it/   Once you get there, use the search feature and see if there's already been a question asked.

I suggest you explore MSW.  Get comfortable with it.  There's good places and not so good places to ask questions about "how to", " what do I use".. etc.
