Like I said, the planking is not so good because I didn’t follow crucial steps.

Tapering only on the bow, in the next one it will be different 👍🏻👍🏻

Had to paint the cannons with black color. The result is good.

Daniel, very nice work and it looks very promising.

 

This is why I have to say (in simple soldiery words, forgive me) that you have to follow Patrick suggestion to fill the bow part with wooden blocks until too late, in order to avoid unsightly bent on the first frame. Then you may make it pleasantly smooth, even by eye. You may hate it now, but later you would not be able to correct this unevenness.

 

By the way, this is my most favourite shipbuilding period  🙂.

Before posting new updates from the model, today I visited the Götheborg in Lisbon. I LOVED very much, beautiful!!!

Yep, I’m still alive, gained interest again, she was on the shelf all this time.

 

Last photo is from today, I will let it dry for more sanding afterwards.

It’s like the surface of the moon, not perfect.

With my measurements, i can say that the second layer will fit pretty nicely.
