Used my buddy's old homemade vacuum form machine, adding some small photoetched pieces for detail. Never kept track, but the full construction of this model was years. Polamer resin molds, photo etcghing, etc, finding materials, photos that I didn't have, drawing or blueprints took so much time. Being a scratch builder for the most part it's just the ability to recreate what I visualize. I've learned how to cast, mold, vacuum form, design photo etching and modify stuff to fit a purpose. In the new world 3D printing has replaced many of these processes to achieve the same results. 3D printing will open a whole new world to model building.
