pete48 Posted July 24, 2014 Author #122 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) Today, it was time to bring her to the finishing stage. I started by making the Tiller and finishing the Boom and Gaff. Next I finished the rudder by adding birch ply to both sides of the top, Creating the pocket for the Tiller. I then installed the Rudder ( I will stain the birch ply Cherry ) I then made the Brass hoop for the mast , and installed it . I then stepped the Mast and installed the standing rigging. Next will be to do all the running rigging, ( Halyards and sheets )She is almost finished . A full keel (ballasted?) on such a small boat is still new to me, I'm not used to it - but it looks like they pack a lot into a small package. Very pretty design & lovel work. I have learned a lot that will help when I start something.
