Marina II by downeaster - Artesania Latina - Scale 1:50

Recommended Posts

Started work on the masts. I didn't like the way the instructions mention how to place the light fixtures on the masts. See pic...1769252437_DSC00607-Edited.jpg.9dca2676658c0ad901f06e3cfab3df24.jpg

I decided to insert light fixture into hole I drilled into the mast supports...788450810_DSC00603-Edited.jpg.7b137a1e60ea81daa7a003bd930308fd.jpg

Marina II build coming to the finish line. I enjoyed this model and the time at the modeling bench. I named the model after my late sister. For my second ship....I am very pleased with finished model. I followed colors from the Marina II box art. Thanks for everyone that followed this build.1141211928_DSC00643-Edited.jpg.5122b0c0fc6a6ef06f6a3788235e6283.jpg1017592558_DSC00644-Edited.jpg.97b4d9010a6e46827b76ff94abe0f0e4.jpg1528012671_DSC00645-Edited.jpg.386bbb2ce43963599608192c87e56d5c.jpg1935520141_DSC00647-Edited.jpg.2beb564eee1ec61b31e925dbdbdd6dc3.jpg

Colin,      I build my stands myself no plans. I do look around the internet for ideas. I enjoy the build of the stand as much as the model itself. Good luck with your build and I would encourage you to start a build log to share to this community.

Hi, just starting Marina 2 and believe your post is going to be really helpful - thanks for taking the time to share.  Like the stand you built, do you happening recall where you found the plans or did you create your own.

Regards Colin

Downeaster: nice job and thanks for putting up all the pics.

I've noticed there were several posters saying they were starting the same model.  I'm wondering how all of you have been progressing.  I just started mine and wondering if I'll be alive long enough to complete it.  Cheers.
