  1. Your Hustler looks good, Javlin. The paneling looks very nice.
  2. We're mostly internet for train goods. The one brick and mortar store has random hours and isn't much good for smaller scale anything. he does stock Mike's Train House. We do have train shows at the Ag Center near Asheville Airport, but need to wade thru a lot of heavily used stuff to patronize dealers with current equipment. Or all the ready to run. I'm a builder. I do attend some RPM shows to see new techniques and equipment, but my old traveling companion passed away a month ago. There will be a meet in central NC next year, either in High Point or possibly in the Charlotte area. Craig, I remember going to Chester Holly's in Tampa in the early 80s. It was a large tin building, with a Cadillac in one area. Loads of kits. Had to get down on the floor to see labels. 😄
  3. Great build, Yves. We have an outdoor G scale layout at the depot in Hendersonville, NC. You should check it out on our site: https://avmrc.com/ There is a video, too.
  4. Looks good, Greg. I drive by an old Cat frequently and your Cat is as rusty as the semi-derelict real one. 👍
  5. Your finish is superb, Dave. Well done.
  6. Nice oddballs, Yves. I seem to remember another US tailsitter design that rode on a flatbed. The flatbed went vertical for takeoff and landing. USAF declined to build it, seeing no operational need.
  7. Wahoo, quite the dog's breakfast today. The "Billy" looks like some old house boat with the hodge-podge siding, with a paddle wheel thrown in to sow confusion to we landlibbers. The car ferry looks OK, but what the heck is guiding the ferry?
  8. 3D prints look so good. Biggest issue I have is removing all the little "fingers" from the parts and then cleaning them up. Many parts are scale thickness, making for delicate builds.
  9. Another superb build, Chris. May I add the Dauntless to your list? I think some were in use until the Battle of the Philippine Sea, also known as the Great Marianas Turkey Shoot.
  10. Sure do look painted. At least the hand holds. Model on.
  11. The Eduard sets may have some stainless steel PE. Pre-plan your bends, the stainless may only allow 1 bend. I like your build. HMS Hood is one of my favorite ships.
  12. Good planning, Eric. The railroad owned structures would all share the same palette. Private structures here were mostly brick, showing some prosperity. We had a number of camps around the area for the Low County area around Charleston, SC to leave the mosquito ridden, hot and humid dwellings for the cooler, drier mountain air in the area. Some hotels were quite posh. Most are gone, but some camps still operate over the summer.
  13. How did the prototype do them? You would need a color photo of the car in San Francisco versus what the model company put on the box. It's your railroad, so do what floats your boat.
  14. This scene looks great, Eric. I like your adding the tavern interior. Will you do up figures? The differing sizes and colors looks spot on. Love your work.
  15. Very impressive, Alan. The yellow looks great. And the lions do, too. I get a kick out of the war hammer he's carrying. Looks a lot like the Halligan tool firefighters use to pry open doors in a hurry.
  16. Here's a site for paper models of all the shuttles and their cargoes/payloads: https://axm61.wordpress.com/ We need a space pickup truck like the shuttles to haul the follow-on space station. I think "Alpha", the current facility, will get decommissioned in 2030. Of course, that could slip. My flight of aviators had just sat down for lunch in front of a big screen TV when the news came over the news feed. We were stunned. Crikey, that was a long time ago.
