I'm on a roll, I have finished not one, but two models, first time since 1982!
I am almost ready to prime the fuselage and getting the rest of the part ready too

I have been wanting to build this kit for some time, but the instructions kept me from trying. Then someone suggested Fotki.com and problem solved. But, I was still missing the whitewalls and like magic, after many searches, the whitewalls were on ebay, hurray!
I decided on a Burgundy body on Black fenders and frame. Right now, I'm trying to get the body tight to the rear fenders.

I started working on the engine and put a coat of semigloss on the chrome sprue to make it look a little less toy like.

I got this kit a long time ago and it was missing the instruction manual and the four whitewall insert parts for the tires. So it sat in my stash pile, until I found the whitewalls on ebay for $15. Still waiting on the parts, but I found the instruction at Fotki. Now, the instructions for some reason don't show steps 1 thru 8, but I think I can make it work.
So, here we go!

Are you trying to not spoil the finish?

I remember my mom complaining when 'ethyl' hit 35 cents a gallon and a dollar didn't buy three gallons anymore! Gas was cheap and plentiful. I remember when three out of four corners of every intersection was a gas station as well.

It's hard to believe it's been almost three years since my last post!
Not much but, the stairs just dangle past the gun deck, so I made an orlop deck from scratch.
