Papa got a reaction from Canute in Airfix 1/72 Mitsubishi A6M Zero
I lost a canopy once. Found it a year later in the face mask for my lathe hanging on the opposite wall from where I was working!!

How do you keep everything organized? I tend to lose small parts when I am working multiple kits.

Papa got a reaction from paulsutcliffe in Hobbyzone building slip for wooden ship models
I have been using this slip for a while. I have 2 major issues.
    1.  The nuts tend to round out the hex holes over time. I had to super glue several in place I order to tighten pieces.
    2. The two end MDF end clamps are delaminating. I have squeezed glue into the spaces and fixed them, but they just delaminates somewhere else. The super glue is stronger that what ever is used to hold the MDF together.

i spite of these flaws I hav used the building slip successfully. Check out my Charles W Morgan build log to see it in action.

Jo, so glad to hear from you, I warms my heart.

Ragove, it has been a challenge to keep my builds organized and keep my sanity!

The two big ones I keep in their boxes.  I only work on one at a time.

I have two with their own containers.

These three have their own drawers.

The last one has the top drawer of the tool storage three drawer container.

Oops, there are nine counting the little 105 Howitzer in the baggie at the top of this picture.

Just yesterday I searched the build log database for the Spray. I have the Laughing Whale kit and have been thinking of starting it soon. So your build log is quite timely.  I will study your progress with much interest.

    Hi
I am a new ship modeler from Lithuania. There is a second model of my ship (the first was Corel Company VASA). In my country are many people (about 2 million), so there are many people who make ship models, there are many company's which sells ship model kits. The most serious company in Lithuania is COREL. So I doing this company ship models. Now I'm doing COREL - WAPPEN VON HANBURG. This is Corel company's most expensive and sophisticated set of ships. I want to say that COREL kits are complex. But I like this company because the quality of the materials is good.

I think it will be difficult to make this ship model because the first deck cannons have to be installed before the taller decks can be made and the sides of the ship glued. Swiss. Therefore, ground-floor cannons may be broken.

Actually my Model Shipways came with tape. I am cutting the tiles individually 😬. It takes a lot of time, but I think it is a better look.

Not to bad for my first model. Not to mention, it had to be repaired about four times from breakage.

It is quite tricky to get a nice flow in the compound curves at the stern. I tried to let the copper tiles tell me where they wanted to flow naturally. The real challenge will be to duplicate the pattern on the port side. Good thing one  will only be able to one side at a time.  If it doesn’t match exactly I doubt anyone would notice. Also, the instructions state that the actual pattern for the copper is unknown. So...who’s to say I am wrong?
it is actually much smoother in reality than the weird reflections would imply.
