Well I am not over the sicknes just yet. The cold and sore throat developed into strepped throat and walking pneumonia.

A trip to the hospital was needed. My lungs are not in the greatest of shape in  the first place , but I will manage  to get over this sickness soon. The doctor  told me it a good thing I quit smoking in 1995,but we got some small stuff to take care of, and I should be good to go.

I did  manage  to cut up some  lanyards and some seizing  thread . The crew is trying to figure  what we should do next. Rigging is out for awhile, coughing  and  shaking are taking there toll.

I may get the yards done soon. I had to get @Gabek to make me some cleats for the Pegasus,  another thing that was not supplied in the kit.

Toying around with the capstan, I may put poles on it ,we will see.

With all that's going on, I have so much work that needs to be done before winter comes, so much work to catch up on that I decide to put it in the display case until I feel better and the outside work gets done

She going to be  a beautiful  ship next to the Duchess of Kingston. 

Take care my friends,  hope to be building  soon but I think I am in for the long hull of recovery,  lots of testing going on so far all negative,  which is a good thing they say.

Well,  got to go rest up, trying to get some outside painting  done today, grass  needs cutting and  the gardens need cultivating,  and some machinery repares are needed as well. It all part of life's problems that keep me from building models lol. 😆 🤣

I wouldn't  use contact cement.  After your hull is filled and sanded , I would brush a coat of wood glue, thined 25% - 30% water. Then when planking  a good coat of wood glue.

  This is what I do, other's have there way.

Just wondering if you have an electric plank bender, I found it very useful  👍🏻

I use the same stuff, and found it does chip a bit. So what I did was after they were blackened , and dryed, I spray a coat of High Heat Babecue paint,  it works for me.
