A mathematical mistake has delayed completion date
. I belive I was down to just 14 lines. Just today I discovered that I have to turn the ship around and do it all over again 🙃.
Lines were run.
Then it hit me ,the six left over tack toggles go on the other side. Yyeehhaa.
The Mizzen and main are half rigged , might as well finish rigging the foremast as well.
I think I have tamed this ship, at least I know were everything go's, it just a matter of tieing up lose ends.
With MSW/NRG coffee mug in hand, a big old swig and rigging continues. Lol.
It won't be long before my next build,
A Harriet Lane, more about the yellow box, when I open a log for it.
If MSW wants another log of the old plug ship lol.
Thanks everyone. Back at'er.

I must be getting close to the finish line, lol, I am so excited about it 😆, I have to whatch myself , I dropped a Tack toggle on the floor bent over to pick it up Any guess, @Keith Black what my head hit on the way up lol.
A little patch and paint it will be good as new lol. It will be our secret. Lol. Don't tell Kurt lol.
I have five Tack toggles blocks to make up, then rigging can continue. The ones on the Mizzen mast were done in black thread, should have been natural, oh well next time.
I used a drill bit to make the loops, 9/64 was what I picked. Seized it once , trim and repeat 10 times.
The rest I will use Natural, I let you know if anyone notices it in the case lol. That and another thing that I just noticed, will remain as is. Builders choice lol.
I have to remind myself that there is lots to do yet, stairs, flags, thouch ups, here and there lol. The Frist Mate's birth day is in a couple of days so I will try for that date for finishing the build, but figures and extra fun will go on for ever. lol.
The grinning will go on forever, so very thankful that you all have help an old man build a few kits.
Starting to look over to the yellow box in the stach, thinking of being a river boat man again lol. 😆 🤣
Let's get'er done.

I thought the same thing, looks like curtains, 🤔 As far as painting goes, we are in the same boat , good painter, not so good lettering But print them to the right size and mod-podge them on. Kinda like make your on decals. Just a thought. Or make a stencil and spray it on.

I am in agreement with Rich, yep you might miss something, it does get easier, but you always seem to miss something.
I would get yourself some needle threaders like the use for beading, works slick for rigging, much easier to poke a wire through the little holes then floppies ropes.
Great work,

After consulting with the best, I decided to also install a white British flag on the main mast.
I discovered a beautiful 6x10 piece of clear plastic, It was for the windows ,opps.
The Green peice of tape will be were the name plate will go, Hornblower will announce the completion date , soon.
14 lines left to go and the rigging is complete. Then add the rope coils, also the stairs on the side of the ship, one flag and done. End of the year, lol 😆
Thanks for the memories, it was a special build,

Nicely done, I went for magnification as well, considering that all four cannons fit on a dime. Looking good,

On to page 12 of the plans, which is the last page,
yes I am Grinning. A little sad Kurt taking a leave, but he's a Viking. I should be good to go he says , boom irons I said you got to show me how to tie " Tack Toggles"
These are new to me , should be fun trying to make them.
My excitement of reaching page 12 caused a momentarily pause. The Kit came with all kinds of flags , Blue and Red Ensign flags white British flags , and white flags with Blue Ensign in them.
ya I was lost. I know they mean something and depending upon how high the Ranking Admiral was , I saw a log the had a Blue Ensign mounted on the Bowsprit mast, I thought it was cool.
Not knowing what to do, pm sent to my go to guys , a wealth of information thanks @Keith Black and @Gabek so lucky to have you guys on speed pm lol.
So far I have only attached the Blue Ensign on the back so it doesn't get tangle up in the sails. If there were sails lol.
Kurt ⚒️ says ok, Tack toggles, then you go back and start at the beginning and tie up everything. This is it the final page
I am almost done, but knot just yet lol. Days, down to days, grinning 😀 big time.
I am in agreement with Kurt ⚒️ going back and tieing thing up. Swivel guns back on, gun port lids rigged, Giv"er.

@palmerit I get error 404 when I try clicking on the links, but if you go to the NRG online shopping it's there, still for sale.

Thanks @Keith Black, you would not believe the stories that come to mine playing with figures. 70 years old you say, I say, Boom Irons, lol.
Check this guy, the lead hand with the whip, telling the boys after they get the boat lashed down, make some more rope coils, we are going to need lots.
Kurt Builder says that he is moving on soon. He told me he will stick around a few days, just to make sure I got the bowsprit and foremast figured out. He says that if I am going to do the Harriet Lane, he's out, doesn't like paddle boats, especially if it involves law inforcement lol.
Not to worry, he will see me soon, hes going to go do some studying on the Wasa. So I will be able to hit the ground running when we meet again. He's pretty good at reading plans. 📚 and he's a lot of fun to have around.
lines and more lines , lol, I even got fancy clips to hold lines in place lol
So , about 27 to 30 lines left to go, plus the flag placement 🤔. I have to look nobody has flags lol.
Thanks for popping in, back at'er I go, before I get whiped lol.
Thanks for everything, I am so greatful for all your help.

A few more thank yous, @Moonbug, @Blue Ensign for posting your logs I was there offten., and @flyer, your log is impressive, thanks for your help with block placement under the platforms. And of course @Davidlester , but somehow his name doesn't high lite , I give him a, pm, but thanks all.
Rigging of the Mizzen mast is completed, and the helmsman is getting course correction from the OOD.
On to the main mast, should be pretty straightforward , just a couple of yards. When I get to the foremast, there will be cross lines and things I am not used to but learning fast.
Rigging is fun, tieing ratlines is the best, but I rigged the Astrolabe and then jumped back and rigged the Pegasus, so I am starting too get a little rigged out, just a wee bit. Enough to make a disision for my next build. I hear Pile and Goober are Rum runners now, lol. I have to send the Harriet Lane, the first Coastguard boat in service I think, down the Mississippi River to see what's up.
But some rigging left to do .
I have figured out my confusion about the bowsprit lines so I am good to go there as well, thanjs to the Pegasus logs here.
Take care my friends, Sea you soon.

Lol ,I knew if I put her in the display case everyone would think I have finished her. NO, lol knot by a long shot. I have finished the standing rigging, now I have to do the running rigging.
I hanged a black cloth so you could see the lines. They are .1mm for the most part.
Fourteen lines run so far, I am getting confused quite often, the lines cross on the plans then hook up to the main shroud, run through a double bloock out the back and tied off at the righr number. Lol if you understood that , you know what I am talking about lol. I jjust have to do it one line at a time , but I will get there.
The plan has some interesting diagrams that I can make no sence of, yet.
Still lots of lines go to the Bowsprit, but it's a little frustrating so I am going to start at the stren and work my way forward to the frustrating part lol.
Thanks for the kind word, you guys are too forgiving lol. So just to clear things up , no I am knot finished, Kurt is the Viking Builder , Bob M. Is my name and Knocklouder, well what can I say , 😁 .
The journey is not over, just yet.

@buntzi, in the four years that I have been modeling, @Chriswatton at Vanguard Models have been the best for explaining and telling were things go and what size. The Pegasus was designed by Chris, I have done six Amati Models the Pegasus was the easiest to follow, that's why my next model will be a Vanguard Model. Instructions and the help you get from Vanguard is top notch.
.
yesterday I had the privilege to go have lunch with fellow modeler @Gabek. I needed to give him some needle threaders and my resin man made me 50 cleats and 50 fiddle blocks, with round edges beautiful stuff
So very greatful I met him, he get first place on the long list of thank you 's
@Keith Black thank you also for all your help, and putting up with my Neanderthal humor lol. Keith has lead me to logs of unbelievable perfection on rigging . The Texan , @Glen McGuire, the best SIB man there ever was, Thanks. Also
@John Ruy, @LyleK1, @Loracs, @HardeeHarHar, @Landlubber Mike @Bryan Woods, @GrandpaPhil, @Ronald-V , @Ryland Craze. @ccoyle @Coyote_6 @aliluke @Dave_E @mtaylor Just to name a few, and everyone that I missed And the new member, who like my ships .
And MARY of MSW, and all MSW/NRG.
So just a bunch of tieing off, and she will be done
Mizzen booms and gaff.
The yards are pinned on , now I can rig them and slide them back on easily.
It Has a little more yellow than on the box, oh I see the anchors need to be added, and a ladder 🪜 on the side of the ship. Lol As @John Ruy would say, Details, it's all in the Details.
.
My apologies if I missed some one on the thank you list, I just thought of a few more in The U K. Next time

An attempt was made to complete the rigging by today, Frist Mate B-Day, but came up close. The starboard side is complete rigged, just have to tie things off but waiting for the port side so I can add tension evenly.
Lots of natural tread now, and my first Tack toggle, they are not as bad to do as the seem, they tie up even and look ok.
A few rope coils here and there to make it look better.
So I belive that we are down to 12 lines left on the portside, two days. Lol.
Have to go to a party so no work tonight, but as soon as I wake up lol. It's like when I first started shipbuilding is on the front burner 24 7 lol 😆
To the portside, in the back of my mine, ,I hear, I am going to finish, I am going to finish lol 😆 I hope I haven't cursed myself lol
Talk soon,
Knocklouder 😁
