Great job Harley. I've just started my Missouri and hope that I can at least come close to your results. The kit will demand patience and a lot of planning. Just a quick question regarding the sequence and positioning of the main deck photo etch stanchions. I just cannot see anything about the proper sequence from bow to stern and vice versa in the supplied manual.

Le Renommee update,... slow but steady progress. I'm more or less happy with the build as a whole but unhappy if I focus on specifics (if you know what I mean....). For example, I constantly struggle to maintain perfect symmetry when port and starboard are compared. The minor differences tend to disappear as I step back and appreciate my efforts......

Your reference to building in plastic sounds a but condescending. I hope it was was not meant in this way. Scale models in any medium can lead to works of art or end in disaster. After building with wood for many years I've returned to the plastic medium and the skill set required is no less demanding than that required of the wood medium. It is just different.

Thank you all... I know it's been a while since I've posted an update, RL is intervening in a hard way right now, but I have been plugging along as best I can...
Decaling is about 3/4th's done, Just the right side of the fuselage to go...
Here are some pics of the slow progress...
There were a lot of those technical decals, still some to go all down the right side...
Sorry for the slow progress but health is a major concern right now, keeping the muse going is getting difficult...
But I swear I'm gonna get this one done...

My Joy-Yard 1/350 Missouri is complete. She was a challenge and the instructions caused some stress occasionally. I learned a lot. Experience can be a tough task master.
I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to get this pic to display horizontally but it just wouldn't work!!

This is my 98.75% completed Joy-Yard 1/350 USS Missouri. She is shown in early 1945 venue.
I'm finishing some main deck railing work, paint touch up, and a matt clear coat and she will be ready
for her seascape base. It was definitely a challenge for me and I learned a lot.
I was tempted to walk away from her and did take a ten day period of abstention but the challenge remained.
I spent an inordinate amount of time working through the instruction puzzle. The good amount of supplementary
material I had accumulated was a great help.
I have the framework for her seascape ready to finish and she will be complete.
