  1. Never mind murphy's law, Håkan, jus keep in mind O'Toole's maxim - 'Murphy was an optimist.' John
  2. G'day Bob, and a warm welcome to the forum. John
  3. I agree with Keith, Håkan. When you're having one of those days, just leave it. Of course, that's not so easy if you happen to be the duty model maker at a museum! John
  4. Certainly looks a lot better than your first attempt, mate. Good on you for re-doing it! John
  5. Just catching up with your work after being away for a while - your paintings continue to impress! John

  9. Rod, i don't think your beautiful painting is the 'Seguin'. The after mast is stepped abaft the cabin rather than on it, there is a small deckhouse extension abaft the wheelhouse and the layout of the doors in the deckhouse are different. Lovely painting, though. John
  10. Hello Jon, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John
  11. Just catching up again, Keith. She is still right up to the standard that we've come to expect from you. That boom sheet is mega complex - never seen anything like it. John

  15. Hello Zac, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. You've already made a great decision about your new hobby by saying that you're going to start a build log. As has been said, help is out here, and people are happy to help. Just ask any questions you have - don't feel embarrassed if you think they're a bit simple - remember, we all had to start at some time. Enjoy your new hobby! John
  16. Hello, BMT, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John
  17. An interesting build for me, Andy. One of my uncles was a navigator in 'Wimpies' with the RAF. He was killed in action on a bombing raid over Italy. John
  18. I agree with Druxey completely. If you went with unsatisfactory parts they'd always be staring at you. John
  19. I really love the sky in 'Squaure rigger down south', Jim. John
  20. Welcome home, mate! John
  21. Amazing! Thanks for posting this, Mark. John
