  1. Hello Luord, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John
  2. Very interesting, Mark. John

  4. Hello Steve, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. That sounds like a particularly interesting manuscript. I think Keith's idea of it going to the NRG is a good one, if you think that would be a good home for it. John
  5. Hello, and a warm welcome to MSW from 'Down Under'. John
  6. Hello Blair, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John
  7. She's really starting to look like the 'Waratah' now, Chris. John

  9. Hello Doug, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'Down Under'. John

  11. Not an expert in the period, but all the photographs I have seen of surviving sailing era warships show the planking flush with the edge of the ports. John
  12. Chris, can't help you with turnbuckles, but this photo shows pretty clearly where the bottlescrews are located (it is the antipodes after all). All the photos show just one funnel stay on each side. John
  13. Hello Gary, and a warm welcome to the forum from 'down under'. Sounds like a wonderful project to be involved in. John
