  13. Pat, I've been puzzling over this and just don't have a n answer. The 3 1/2 inch rope; blocks and thimbles are clear enough, but I can't for the life of me figure out what a short length of 1 1/2 inch is for - it's too big to use for any sort of whipping, and too small for a tackle. Perhaps the contract cleark need a bit of spare rope for his boat's painter! John
  14. Lou, that looks like it's a builder's model - very classy and beautifully finished, but like all of its genre, not necessarily to be relied on for accurate finishes (check out the polished vents and guns, for instance) John
