  1. Geert, I had the same question in my build log. All the replies I got were they are about 3 feet long with a hole drilled at the ends for lifting out. So I scaled my accordingly. Turned out looking nice so that is what I went with. Go to page 9 on my log and scroll down to about post #170 and you can read the replies. Hope this helps

  10. Just a guess from me, but what about room to service the wheel without removing the paddle box. Room to repair or replace a broken paddle or room to remove any debri that may be caught in the paddle.

  13. Looking good Micheal, I steamed my beams, worked well for me. Click here to go to my log to see pictures and descripton. About half way down the page or so. Hope it helps
  14. The start of your frames is looking good, popular will make a fine build, just pick the pieces for the best color to match.
  15. Just make sure it get rid of that one and don't do like I did, build have a deck with the wrong scale plans because they both were laying on the table side by side
  16. Went and found my copy of the 1:48 plans, Frame 0 is measuring 21 cm like in your first picture.
