The best news I've heard in some time, Keith.  I'm glad you two are able to keep putting a smile on each other's faces.   The world needs more of that.

Personally, I'm a bit cautious over "free" software.  At some point the coders need to make money and then things get messy.   Features come and go and sometimes the software just disappears.  Blender has been around for a long time as has AutoCad but AutoCad's price makes me wince.  If I recall correctly, Blender is used by a lot 3D developers in gaming, etc. whereas AutoCad is more engineering. 

The key is to  test multiple packages and see which one works best for you.

Wonderful work.   I do have a question... it appears that only the pilot had an armored seat correct?   Seems odd if true that only one would be armored.

What Keith said about your own intro.  Also, feel free to open a log on your Rattlesnake.  It's the best way to get help when you need it and also meet other model builders.

Seems that many of us yellow ocre for the "gold" finish as this is more in line with what was done in reality.  But..... modeler's choice on this.

Ah.. that brings back memories of flying in a CH-34 over southern California back in the day.  Just had to be sure the "gunner's belts" were firmly secure to the bird and to one's body.

I forgot about them.  They usually got pretty wild also.  At the local track, it seems nasty and personal was normal for drivers, crews, and many time the fans.   

Looking good.  As for wooden deck and plastic hull..... PVA won't work as it's not for plastic.  The CA was/is a better choice.

I'm in as I've not seen any of their models if I remember right.    Interesting on the box art... the bird is flying, firing all guns and no visible crew.

And the ever popular demolition derbies.   I remember one, only because the driver was a friend of my dad, who entered his 6 month old Lincoln in one after complaining about it for the previous 6 months to the dealer about it being a lemon. It was heavily targeted as everyone went after that car.

Micha is spot on.  Back in the day, all drawings were either rolled into a tube or stored flat in large drawers.  One place I worked weve hung the ones currently in use on a clothes line stretched in the either the archive room or the copy room.
