I asked about Cresswell as I used to work for them as the assembler/engineer putting our range of recumbents-folders and hook on carriers together and testing new products, we were a small company with a very small workforce - great times while I was there. OC.

I was reading some facinating stuff supposed to be genuine transcripts from Apollo 11 (I think it was) live comms between the astronauts and mission control, where they were reporting other crafts on the moon that were said to be larger and more advanced. Nothing more was said about it though so who knows - OC.

Hi all, I managed to get on the pearl at the table today, firstly I decided to strengthen the stays by pulling back on the mizzen, firstly I ran a stay from the mizzen tops and back down bulkhead - this was tied of and darkened to match the same shade as the other stays, I was then going to contiue making the rats for the upper mainmast. But I had to stop as I have developed pain well more like a tingling and hot and cold sensation in my right hand, I will have to learn to build using my teeth (LOL). So that was it no pics as my mobile cell phone camera is sick at the moment and doesn't want to take pics - poor thing it is over ten years old. OC.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
