  6. Right then folks - I am all done for this year, the wash has knackerd me.............. Only joking - I am just waiting for it to be fully dry before I get my paints out - wont be long - promise. OC.

  8. I so love all the weathering that you do on your builds loverly job. OC.
  9. Good evening all, no picture content as nothing to see - but I have cleaned both the hull and turret in soapy water with a brush and put away to dry. OC.
  10. Thank you kindly Alan mate, I have a flat 3/4 brush with slightly stiff bristles (but that seems to be the types that works best). And with primer (not using one) I have the vallejo Black primer but I dont think some paints adhere to it very well as it has a slight sheen to it and does not give a key for the base coat. OC.
  11. Happy new year to you all. Right thinking on my feet ahead of me starting back on this re primer - I wonder if it needs it if I make sure the surface is clean and free of any release agents (yep I know I did not wash the parts first before assembling) I could use a flat brush and use a soapy water mix and brush it over the hull and turret and let dry before I do anything, then I am thinking of just hand painting with my base colour/s with my sligtly stiff flat brush (I have seen vids where a slightly stiff bristle brush is favoured over a soft one for brush painting these kind of kits) I have one such brush its an Army Painter one and quite good quality 3/4 inch I think. Looking forward to getting back at the table even if I am not working on my Waterloo dio at mo. OC.
  12. Thank yuo Alan, I tried a an idea out on my hand painted Warspite build where I used a cloth with a bit of water, to polish the painted hull after the paint was Fully dry, this smoothed out any brush marks - it did a quite good job to be fair. OC.
  13. Morning all, and Merry Christmas. I keep studying videos of other builders brush painting there model tanks, and its got me tempted to have a go in the New Year - it will need me to check out my Vallejo Acrylic Surface Primer to see if its still usable after all this time (or even enough) and to see if I can prime the whole tank yet keep it thin and smooth enough to preserve details. Then I will be considering Nato Green (all over) or Three colour European scheme, will have to see on that one - will see how the brush primer goes. OC.
