  1. Yes I had heard the new film was very lacking more of a bio just on him, and not very accurate regarding the battle. OC.
  2. Morning all, so - where I am at right now, I have flat coat varnished about 30 of my French dudes with more to do, I also have some British that need the same treatment - however I have ordered a bottle of Loctite Flexible Gel Super Glue ( I have read a lot of good thngs about this glue) the idea is when it arrives I will cut away what ever figures I have done, that can then be placed on my dio dependent on areas being finished - like the road and orchard. OC.
  3. Is this the same Frigate - OC. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protector_(1779_frigate)
  4. This sounds ambitious but good luck, I also part finished this kit, I got the Hull 95% finished then gave up on her. OC.
  5. Looking good, I hear your woes over decal placing, I went through it with my old mossie build where some decs just wouldn't settle. OC.
  6. So I can confirm - warming up my Acrylic Varnish does help the flow and dulling (with a Matt Varnish) I think our temp being lower over this side of the pond to you guys over there may have something to do with it as at a guess I would have been brushing it on at a temp of roughly 12*C - 53*F but heating it up to around 25*C seems to help - still needs a good shake after warming though. OC.
  7. Update - I think my trick of warming up the bottle has worked, as the finish seems more flat now - Third time Lucky. OC.
  8. Evening all, I have been pulling my hair out applying a few coats of my Mig Ammo Lucky Ultra Matt Acrylic varnish, despite shaking it till me arm nearly falls off and brushing it on very thnly - do you thnk I can get the Blues on the jacket arms to go (fabric shade) flat - Nope, they are staying like a slight satin sheen, simply dont know the reason or answer. OC.
  9. Not about LHS but about the defence of Hougoumont at Waterloo - found an excellent Google Maps walk through inside the courtyard and buildings - OC. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.6706522,4.3946093,3a,75y,82.88h,88.93t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sAF1QipPIJOCdFc4-hzW-uvug44tVEUNztoNDiwf40IvP!2e10!7i9390!8i4695?entry=ttu
  10. Its only masked up for the primer at the moment, I did it in preparation for when I was going to spray on the primer, so the first stage will be to brush all over it my Vallejo Surface Primer with my largest One inch brush. Will deffo try your Ideas latter down the road when I am ready to have a go at free hand camo brush painting. OC.
