My POF Armed Virginia sloop came with plastic lights for the stern.  I want to remake them in 1/32 scale out of holly.  Is anyone aware of a good practicum to help do this, or a good build log that explains a good technique.  Any help appreciated.

Doc, check out the document by David Antscherl on our website "Tips" page, bottom.

While I can't provide a PE sheet at that scale it does explain the basics of lantern construction.

You need a table saw to do it - do you have one ?  Then its just a question of cutting your wood to to fit in the space occupied by the lights and then cutting some mullions/slots using your table saw.  The construction is very similar to making your own gratings.  Does this help ?

I think Thurston sells some slitting blades that might be thin enough.
