aquired an XM-23 setup

You mean one of these?:  Belt-fed 1911!

Or possibly the more modern military version:Belt fed Handgun and Rifle image - Firearm Lovers Club - Mod DB

:D:blink::unsure::stunned:

In case you doubt their existence:

Russian Belt-Fed Pistol - | Pistol, Guns, Guns pistols

The Russians will try anything!

Where did you find a 1/32 M-23 set-up? That was one of the reasons I went 1/35th. The Huey you have has the right mount for the fuselage but no ammo box, pillar or gun. No I take it back, you could scratch the piller and ammo box, and there are plenty of M-60s in the kit. Are you able to find 1/32 crew?

Lou

Build logs: Colonial sloop Providence 1/48th scale kit bashed from AL Independence

Currant builds:

Constructo Brigantine Sentinel (Union) (On hold)

Minicraft 1/350 Titanic (For the Admiral)

1/350 Heavy Cruiser USS Houston (Resin)

Currant research/scratchbuild:

Schooner USS Lanikai/Hermes

Non ship build log:

1/35th UH-1H Huey

Yep, definitely time to move up.

My advice: look for one that has in addition to macro, spot and center weighted metering and spot and center weighted focusing. Yo can find these features on point and shoot cameras as well as the DSLRs.  I have a Canon pocket which has these features, very easy to use and very handy and not restricted to Macro focus either.

Super little build EG, you've got nice detail on it.  Impressive!!!

Thank You Ed, I do try and get accurate information, and artillery has all it's little bits needed for it to function that one seldom sees in the usual photos...

It's appreciated my friend...

I don't doubt their existence, three little parts turn any Glock pistol into a select fire machine gun.... (true story)

I found them on evilbay in Australia, and yeah the crew is available from China if you want to wait a month of sundays.....

As far as crew in scale goes, a 6' man in 1/32 scale is 2.25 inches, in 1.35 scale he is 2.058 inches just shy of 5'6" in 1/32nd scale, (the average man is 5'8") the two scales cross over on many things figures are one of them...

I don't know if I'm ready to do a crew yet.... when I do it will probably be South Pacific WWII era one of the various invasions....

And Thanks Brother....

I know, I'm looking at one of them Cannon camera kits they are advertising all over the place... keep this one for the day trips and use the new one for the serious photography....

Tell me !  I got my 1st 35mm camera in 1954, Kodak 35mm, upgraded to Pentax H3 SLR in 1960, then Pentax SP500, then Pentax K1000 (2 of them).  Now I have a Pentax iST 35mm and Pentax K50 DSLR.  All the cameras work fine still except the K50 which has an electronics problem. My Canons are just pocket cameras for grab and go, or models photos since the K50 is down.  And, yes, I have a 35mm darkroom in basement, mostly for B&W.

The Canon DSLRs are real good, got my oldest granddaughter one of those packages, she loves it. Does some good work with it.

I have been into cameras for many years probably had more cameras than my age 😲  I have inherited a camera  off my neighour  but to be honest my best tool for model photography is my mobile phone camera, as it slim and can get it  underneath the actual plane to get shots looking upwards (you could not do that with a lens)   but no doubt any decent camera would take better general photos of the model due to quality of optics / pixals  etc.

Thank you Ken.

Historical research is another passion of mine, I like digging for the facts and reading about history also.....

The next one I don't know about yet, but I have a feeling it's going to be a chopper of some type..... (I've got this zipper to finish and get the bandit rolling as well) I'm going to be busy for a while especially since the F-104 has taken a serious turn towards kitbashing and alterations which I hadn't planned for....
