Sjors,

Thanks! :10_1_10:

Claire came home and saw the Christmas bubs in the stacks.....and loved them! :D

So now my little tugboat gets a place in the family room above the fireplace (yes, fireplace....for the two days a year it gets below 40. B) ) mantle as long as the bulbs are in the stacks during the Holidays.........

So now what do I do to make my other projects into ornaments???????

Cheers,

Jim

I don't think that you do more Christmas decoration on it.

It's gonna be overkill then !

This is just enough :P

Sjors,

Thanks! :)   No more decorations on this tug but who knows what it will take to get my next project in a prime display location...... :P

Mark,

Thanks!  :)   I suspect that come the Holidays I'll get......."Honey, Can't you get them so we can turn them on?"..... B) ...Oh, well......

The attached will be the last in process pics.  I don't intend to add any flags as I think paper flags do not add anything to a model......

The blocks on the penny are under magnification.  I had enough trouble even then drilling them out for the line....just to add to the lifeboat davits.

I'm going to take the Lackawanna outside today and get some shots for inclusion in the completed gallery.

Cheers,

Jim

Ah.....I see you found the obligatory pie-plate size penny.  I think Model Expo sells them :D  :D  :D

But seriously, you've done a great job on this lady.  The wood and metal work are most attractive and the overall color is perfect.  She is a proud addition to the MSW Gallery and your own collection.

Can't wait to see the final shots.

CONGRATULATIONS  :champagne-popping-smiley-emotic

Augie,

Thanks, appreciate your comments...... :D

But............................................................................................................................ :(

Why did you have to reveal the old pie plate trick????? :P

Truth be told, that penny was extra small.....it shrank from the heat.......

Randy,

Thanks for stopping by! :D   Appreciate your comments!

I believe I used a #72 bit....but it was so small I'm guessing....

Sjors,

Thanks!  Always enjoy your comments and enthusiasm.... :D

My laundry list has the Marseille by Mamoli, a couple railroad engines, a Sopwith Camel and the Confederacy(already got the brass cannons and figurehead from Chuck's company) but will wait for Augie to finish his before even opening the box!

I'm going to put a couple finish pics here as well...

Thanks to all who looked in and commented or 'liked' my little tugboat! :10_1_10:

She looks even more spectacular outside :) .

But you have two problems:

1)  If you wait to start on Confed until I'm finished, you will open the box to a pile of petrified wood.  And.....

2)  I think you deserve some 'warning points' for taking unfair advantage of we poor landlocked souls on MSW.  In that middle photo, she looks full scale !!

Very , very nice and great pictures !

And did you drive 100 miles to get to the water????????

And don't let us wait that long before you are gonna build the Confed.

When we have to wait till Augie is finished it take about 5 years  :P  :P  :P  :P

By that time I finished the Le Mirage, San Ildefonso, Agamemnon and maybe a few others…….
