Hello everyone, I've been made aware of a possible problem with the link on Syren's web site. It seems some people have no problems but other are having issues.

I spoke to Chuck and he said it seemed to be working form his end and I have been able to get to my site from his also. If you are still having issues you can always go direct to

www.modelerssawmill.com or email me direct at thewoodmansshed@gmail.com. On a side note I recently had surgery on my hand and am awaiting results on a biopsy. I'm hoping to be back at work by the end of next week. But another surgery is most likely on my radar. Thanks to everyone who has supported my business and I hope to be able to supply my services for the long run.

Thanks,

JoeV

Hello Joe,

Just FYI: it works fine for me. I am using Edge, if that matters.

Good luck!

@Joe V Hopefully this is useful but I can't access the site specifically from a Chrome browser on a Mac (OSX). It worked fine on Safari on Mac though and no issues with Edge/Chrome on Windows (sorry I don't have Firefox installed to try there) and I didn't have any issues from my iPhone browsers. Whether link or direct copy and paste of the URL from above I can't get there on OSX with Chrome.

Joe,

Does it seem to vary depending on local?  Country?  Or are these issues just in the US?

I went through the links on my IPhone and it gave me a note that the Modelerssawmill.com is not a secure site. It did go through to the site. I am not an IT guy but could your browser settings or virus protection software be blocking the link?

Not really sure, but most of the complaints have been from US users.

That's interesting that it's US only.  Not sure why unless there's a block for some reason.   Tom, above, could be right that it's not "secure" as some ISP's block unsecure sites.   I note that the addy for your site is http://www.modelerssawmill.com/.  Looks like it's missing the "s" at the end which means it's secure.   I'm not sure how you get the "s" though so contact your web provider ISP for help.

Link works for me fine: iOS on an iPad in Safari. Also o.k. on my Mac, also using Safari.

Depends who is hosting the website, but it’s not very difficult to get an SSL certificate (takes you from http to https), I’ve used https://letsencrypt.org/ for some self hosted sites but I’m sure there are other options. Then you can redirect any port 80 traffic (http) to port 443 (https). I may be making it sounds trickier than it is, but if Joe has an interest I can send him some tutorials and links.
