I turned 73 this summer, 2024, and am looking to start a wooden ship kit as a winter project with the hope it turns into a new hobby. I have chosen the popular AL HMS Bounty Jolly Boat as my first project (at the time of writing it is sailing its way to me from the supplier). I see from the many posts on here that this is a common project and, thankfully for me, there is loads of great information on MSW already. I may start a build log but as it has been covered so much, I don’t want to bore people with yet another Jolly Boat build. Many thanks for all the great information that is on here, I am looking forward to my first build. As Chris said the logs are a two way thing, so yes there are more Bounty and Victory related (and a few other old chestnuts that always crop up) logs than you can shake a stick at, but you are amongst friends who never bore of looking at the same thing!
