I recently saw online that a new Constitution kit is coming from Angora Models.  It is a subscription kit which I am assuming is being contracted out, from the pictures there are a lot of similarities to what I see in Occre kits.  I can't speak for the accuracy of the kit, but the kit seems very overpriced for the quality shown in the pictures and the overall price.

Interesting...  Had not heard of Agora Models previously.  Definitely an interesting way to send the product, packs or stages as they call it at a time each month.  And, for those without a calculator handy, $1,724.88 if over 12 months, $1,914.76 if over 24 months.  Whew!

I saw the new constitution as well, as I am on their mailing list.  They mention this is their first wooden ship kit.  They are more known for the car models.  There is a build log or two for their Shelby Cobra in the "non-ship/categorized builds" area.   The cars are roughly the same price, though I assume they come from a different supplier than the constitution since the kits are so different.  I've been tempted by one or two of the cars but it seems to be more just a process of assembling a bunch of bits with less opportunity to paint or customize or otherwise make it your own.  Though I did see one build log on youtube where they stripped the paint from the metal body and painted it a different color....or at least they started to as I don't recall seeing the finished product.

I see nothing wrong with the quality of this kit at least as far as the photos show. The build quality seems to be exceptional. Price is a might steep. No doubt in my mind once built, this model would appraise at better than $5000.00-$6000.00 depending on the quality of the build.

Looks pretty nice, but a model at this price range shouldn’t have “cast” fittings. Guess we’ll have to wait and see which parts and quality.

James Hatch has done three high quality Agora builds, half scale of T-800 Terminator endoskeleton, a1:8 scale of a1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C and a 1:8 scale GT500 Shelby Super Snake.
So, the Agora models do have a good reputation as for quality.
