Greetings modellers. I am quite experienced in plastic and paper modelling, but a rookie in wooden models. As a huge fan of history, wars at sea and pirates fiction it was a matter of time when I will start to build sail ships. Unfortunately my main issue was workplace, but finally there are some kits that actually don't require a lot of woodworking so I can build them at my flat. I invite you to follow and comment my build log.

Witam!

I am a fellow fan of card modeling, though my work does not approach the level of the Polish masters.

Glad to have you aboard!

Witam! :) Looking at your Mig-15, your skill at paper modelling is very good. I am not very experienced paper modeller, but I am huge fan of it (unfortunately it takes a lot of time to finish a paper model and many mistakes are not reversible). Also as many guys from Poland my modelling adventure started from paper modelling (famous Polish 'Maly Modelarz').

Welcome to Model Ship World.  You have picked a good kit to start your journey in building wooden ship models.

Have you checked out Seahorse Models there in Poland?

They make some very nice card ships.

Yes, I actually bought the Armed Virginia Sloop from them. Really nice and highly detailed kits. Still, I personally prefer wooden sailing ships over card models.

There’s also Shipyard from Poland – they make both card and wooden kits. I’ve seen a few build logs of their models here on the forum.
