Maybe you should head to HobbyZone
They make the most amazing workstation units that are interlinked with powerful magnets, so you can rearrange the modules as to how you like them. The quality is top rate, and they are beautifully designed. Here's my setup:

It's been a while.
I was working on Victory, but then I was sent my new designs for the Prince in laser cut and PE parts, so I figuered I'd build up the prince hull first, so that I can courier the hull over to Amati. They will then get a very good carver to make all new carvings for the model, have them cast, and then send me back the hull and loose catings. I can then continue, and finally finish the Prince!
When the prince is with Amati, I shall complete the Victory drawings/plans/instructions, which should be no later than Summer.
I know Amati are keen to finalise both Prince and Victory, and I am hoping Victory will be ready for release either late this year or very early next.
I have attached a couple of pics of Prince in progress. I have just completed the first planking. I re-done the designs to include three more main bulkheads, (almost) full length decks from lover gun deck upwards, and the new gun port designs that are now intergeral to the hull, rather than the 1mm ply gun port patterns of the old design.

Hi Alex. It's good that you're ok. But to refer to MSW policy: No politics. No religion. No inflammatory topics.

James H reacted to Chuck in Chris' 1:36 HMS Triton, maybe a new project
Unfortunately we will not be able to give you access to the drawings. This is one of the stipulations of the original drafters and the admin agrees. There is really no need to redraw them as they are already drawn electronically and made available to model builders. I dont understand why you would simply copy them in CAD since they are already done.
Sorry, but we can not allow. The only reason I can think of would be to have all parts available to laser cut or fabricate. Something the original project was not intended for. Plus there are no controls to ensure the parts are not sold or reused for other purposes. It would not be fair to the folks who worked for years researching and drafting the electronic plans we already have.

Quarter figures
When I decided to build Bellerophon from three options, I decided to represent quarter figures as 3D pieces whilst those of the kit are represented as mere relief. L. G. Carr Laughton writes that quarter figures or “strong men” of ships’ stern became merely vestigial by the order of 1796. So quarter figures of the kit may be correct if actual ship had received repairs on these decorations after that date. But I prefer 3D quarter figures than mare relief and I determined to improve stern decos in some way.
Initially I tried using 1/72 Roman warrior figure released from Itareli for quarter pieces and it isn’t bad idea. But I noticed that stern decos of model are occupied by too much male motifs. So I decided to carve goddess quarter pieces by myself from boxwood.
I downloaded google image search results with keyword “Bellerophon”. I determined to settle Athena to starboard. I don’t know who is she but I determined to settle goddess figure based on another google image search result to port side. Maybe she would be Stheneboea or Philonoe. I resized downloaded images to desirable size for carving templates.
Absolute desirable finish is natural wooden finish, but carving from boxwood is my very first experience and I broke their neck and arms sometimes. I decided paint quarter pieces to conceal their vestiges. Also leaving quarter pieces with their natural colour requires further carving for other decoration motifs to match their colour finishes. I adopted easier way but I’m quite happy with results.
Photo above is of start of carving from boxwood.
Photo above is showing quarter pieces on carving process and their templates downloaded from google image search result and resized to match model. Neck of port side goddess is broken and it was repaired later with reinforcement of brass rod.
Photo above is of port side goddess nearing completion.

Finishing of coppering
Finally I finished hull coppering. Despite of poor solution to achieve symmetry of copper rows, I’d fully enjoyed hull coppering than I imagined before starting of the procedure.
BTW, it would be important how I cleaned copper plates after finishing of coppering. I’m sorry that I didn’t take pictures of cleaning procedure of copper plates, but I hope depiction of bellow will help your understanding of my method.
As can be seen on last photo of previous posting, copper plates became dirty by affection of human hand soil. After finishing coppering I rubbed plates with abrasive compound. Copper plates regain their shinning by abrasive compound, but white dregs are left to nailing moulds. I lightly rubbed plates with ebony colour Watco oil and plates regain its nailing mould effects
Photos above are of result of coppering.

James H reacted to augie in USF Confederacy by Augie & Moonbug - FINISHED - Model Shipways - 1:64
I would like to apologize to the members of MSW for my somewhat abrupt behavior over the last day or so. In addition, I apologize to Chuck for any difficulties this may have caused. He and I have been in contact, via PM and I hope at some point he sees fit to return to MSW administration.
We are, in fact, of the same mind. This site exists for the purpose of model shipbuilding discussion while, at the same time, leaving room for a certain degree of so-called off topic comments essential to establishing personal relationships. Others may agree or not depending on their own outlook. But in my opinion we have long been tolerant of one another in order to have a vibrant, harmonious site. Somehow, lines were drawn and we became divided.
This is not why we came here.
I intend to return to 'active duty', welcoming any and all commentary to my logs with the proviso that we keep things somewhat more focused than in the past. I thank all those who intervened positively during this episode and hope that those who chose to leave will return to MSW.

James H reacted to chris watton in Newsworthy updates from Chris Watton
Thanks for that Jax . I had one of the dogs in a chair next to me whilst tying the ratlines - I think he enjoyed watching me suffer...
I have just finished the ratlines - three long days of solid work. They still look a little too 'white', so tomorrow I will try a mixture of water, tea and PVA and brush the mixture onto the ratlines to slightly darken them and secure the clove hitches before cutting the excess off.
Now that the last of the 'long jobs' is complete, I anticipate finishing it (albeit without figurehead and bowsprit shrouds) within three weeks. Not long now until my wife can have her dining table back.......

James H reacted to chris watton in Newsworthy updates from Chris Watton
Trouble is, I'm doing the boring stuff now, so nothing really changes that much. (I am not really one for showing every single insignificant stage, trenail by trenail...) I have just finished rigging the lower and upper shrouds (including the shroud cleats), added the footropes to the yards, and the next job is the dreaded ratlines. I think it's pointless taking pics of the yards, as once you've seen one set, you've really seen them all. I guess the next change will be once the yards are fixed in place, which will be in about a week's time. All of the parts are now assembled and in place, so only rigging left to do.
As for the paints, I think I have already stated what I used (and why) already in this thread - the Vallejo paints come into their own when painting the dark wood coloured parts, which seem to give a very good scale appearance, rather than simply staining the parts, which tends to accentuate the way over scale wood grain.
I have just taken a set of pictures (while it's still nice outside) - this is where I am up to. (still waiting for figurehead, though..)
