  2. Hello All, Thanks for the comments and Likes, as always very much appreciated.

Rigging from Jib boom via Dolphin I searched how that to do with this rigging as i could not figure it out, So by asking a few questions. came up with, Drilling out 5mm Dead-eye, Lost a few on the way but, most made it, not the easiest 59ac2ac1100b2_HMSVictory(200).jpg.8be8b4bdc1cc46c5a90ac5f74060106e.jpg

This is how I have see a few pictures on Net how how I like the look of and how this has ended up59ac2ac047c43_HMSVictory(199).jpg.6876a76642859bae02aa122624361b26.jpg

  3. Hello All, Thanks for the comments and Likes, as always very much appreciated.

well things are moving along very nice and a steady pace.

As the wife is away i have the place to ones self, 🤐

so i thought i would sit back watch some tv  and do a few small parts ( no cleaning up yet).

    Anchors,

well this has baffled me at the moment, as instructions said reference plan sheet 5, i have been though most sheets and not found any info on Anchors, and even the rigging  of then..

is anyone able to shed a bit of light on this.?

  4. Hello All, Thanks for the comments and Likes, as always very much appreciated.

Well Been a few months since the last update, I have Completed (almost) Lines, Fore and aft, Starbordside atm.

Could not be bothered at the moment to do the main mast lines.

(Fore )I could make a few improvement, as this side is not the viewing side.

597b9f343ee45_HMSVictory(188).jpg.f5b8ba09ce4c4bdab948913bec25c3bf.jpgHard part was making sure lines are same length and level.

(Aft- Starboard)  Really Happy how these lines came out.

  5. Hey JP.

    First of all, Welcome

From what I undersatnd from others, Research what ever ship/Boat your looking at, See if any one else is building it, good point of referance.  For you first build, Personaly dont take on any large builds... most of all take your time and enjoy every miniute of the build. if your not happy with something you have done. do it again! I do.

Find a build you will be happy to look at for years once complete.

hope this is something to go on.

    Cheers

    Rich

Well Small update...   Well more of a a BIG Mistake.

Rat Lines . Drawing Sheet 12,  Shows Mizzen Mast of the left side with lines @ .075mm --- So previous Post Complete lines  ( although finished)   Took it as all ratlines are the same.

Rate lines Fore and Main Masts,  should be @1.3mm  .......... So guess what...

Its all being ripped out and started again!!!!!

Diffrance to far to much to ignore....... bugger!!

    Cheers!

Im Doinging to coat the as it rat lines ( both completed sides ) in PA/water, before next stage, this sould give it a less bounce!!

  9. HI Michael,

Glad you sorted the first problem out with the cross section..

With out looking over my build log, I thing I did a 4 plank shift on the lower deck, To  be honest,, you are going to see almost next to nothing once the upper deck is fitted. I like most people did the planking made cannons and rigged . as I personally Knew I wanted to have it 100% built. but few only rigged etc what will be seen.. that is your sole choice .( i'm glad i did mine)

With the **** system on the lower deck and uppers deck, I found the centre line and worked out both way from there.. TBH  I wish I started hard to one side and just worked out might have been easier.

    Look forward to your progress.

  10. Hello All, Thanks for the comments and Likes, as always very much appreciated.

Wonder if anyone can help. I thinking ahead of the rigging... Now I have read people using serving machines. To bind rope together etc. I cant afford to buy one are the postage from the US is high, and cant find any in the UK.

Does anyone know a way round or even to i need to do this?
