Hmm ! Damn publishers! They want you to pay $1.50 per week to read one article one time. Get the same thing down here.
Yes, I have seen that film is making a comeback. But now a roll of film is preposterously expensive.

I used to do this instinctively with a hand held light meter and a mechanical Pentax SLR, especially with nightime "available light" photography. I'd meter the scene, put a little right or left English on the meter reading and snap the photo and 95% of the time get the photo I was looking for. Now I'm trying to get a computer to do the same. Kinda like driving the new 2023 cars, you're driving a computer not a car. I'm still trying to master the DSLR. My brain knows what to do but getting the camera on the same page is sometimes a big challenge.
I got my first 35mm camera for 8th grade graduation, bought my first 35mm Pentax SLR after my Freshman year in college where I also learned my way around a darkroom, setup my own basement darkroom 2 years later. Don't know what my kids are going to do with the tens of thousands of B/W and Color negatives and Color slides when I pass on, but ............ Oh and all the Pentax cameras too .......... I have probably the only 110 film SLR with interchangeable lenses (Pentax 110) ever produced.

I don't think that's the problem. The camera's meter is trying to average all the light sources together to get an exposure. The meter is reading the brighter white background and underexposing the foreground image. Likewise with the bright blue background, the camera is trying auto white balance the entire photo and the blue is throwing it off.
Try setting the camera on aperature preferred mode, A or AV on dial, set the camera's metering system to "Center-weighted", pick any F-stop that gives you good depth of focus (f/8 to f/22), zoom in on the model and get an exposure reading, press the AE or AEL button to lock the exposure in the camera, zoom back out to compose the frame, then take the photo. If you're still not happy with the exposure, use the cameras exposure compensation feature ( + or - ) to auto adjust exposure, then repeat the above to take another photo.

Très cool was my first impression when I've first seen the Caudron C.561, what a design, completely different than other race planes of it's time. The design was not so much max power orientated, than sleek and aerodynamic. My last contact with the whacky racer were Hugault's paintings in the German version of the comic book 'Au-dela des nuages T1'.
I bought the kit a while ago, initially after I stumbled over it somewhere in the net, I couldn't resist the magnetizing box art. The producing company is from Hungary and they produce resin planes and accessories in 1/48 and 1/72 mainly.
When I opened the sturdy and beautiful designed box, I was up to my next wow. Securely packed where the grey resin parts for the airframe, including a quite detailed interior, along with a clear (and I mean clear) resin canopy, metal casted wheel struts, a PE-fret, including seatbelts, a dashboard, wheel covers and other detail parts, Kabuki canopy masks, decals, a manual and a separate four side color print.
The quality of the resin is perfect, there are no bubbles or blemishes, the whole kit oozes a 'build me' type of quality and as it is my first full resin plane build, I have to confess, all my fear was gone, after inspecting the kit contents.
Yesterday, with my USS Arizona build more or less in the books, I decided to use a good spare hour for removing the cast blocks (easy) and do some test fitting. What's to say, the first impression didn't exaggerate, the fit is almost perfect and it seems, filler will only be needed in small quantities on the bottom seam of the fuselage.
The parts design is absolutely clever, especially around the wing root to fuselage to engine cowling area and even includes guiding pegs, Chapeau S.B.S.
Another example for smart design are the wheel well covers, which are made from PE, which should be annealed and then press formed between the included resin punches.
This kit is a true gem, it doesn't happen very often to me, that I'm totally enthusiastic from first of the kit, through opening and inspecting the box and dry fitting and getting a grip for the kit.
Cheers Rob

Yes. these trucks are what would later be called COE's Cab Over Engine...
By 1914 they had already figured out how to attach a clutch to a flywheel...
It was actually during this period that the controls for trucks, (clutch, brake & gas pedals, shift patterns and steering type and location) were standardized... All trucks had the same cab layout from 1915 on didn't matter who built it...

Good that you're listening to the lady, Chuck. Sometimes we just need someone to put their foot down on us so we can get better and recover.

Yes I agree. In fact, The Admiral has given me orders so I dont get pneumonia. She has ordered me to shut down the store for at least a week or maybe two so I can get well and restock slowly. She is a smart lady.
So unfortunately guys...forgive me for shutting down again. I have nothing in stock anyway so it will give me some time to catch up. But not for a few days at least. I need a few days to get better. It really knocks the hell out of you.

I try to add all the small decals, usually first then “reward” myself by saving the national insignia, squadron markings, nose art etc to last. Unless of course there is a small stencil on top of a larger marking. I was hoping to make progress on my Bucc soon, but work taking me an away from home this coming week, so maybe next ! Enjoying seeing your’s come together now.

Interesting ! I have the camera with base lens, plus telephoto lens plus the custom flash unit. Now if I could just find 110 film and someone to process it (my darkroom can only handle 2 1/4 square and 35mm B/W).
