Now that's looking good Robin. Your getting to grips with it now I see, just to add you do not need a base, will look more realistic with a little glue to the sandle. Great work fella. Frank.

Nice work and very fitting, I assume these are for port and starboard yards, as you know you only need one per side, with a boom ring at each end. Looking good. Frank -
Nice work Robin. I to use gloss varnish then matt, as you say for decals it is a must. But better to be sure than later find so many problems. Like the oars and the way you did them. Cheers frank

Nice work ,looking good. Frank -
Mine to be one of them. The netting you see on my build is from Dafi(Daniel). Its far better than any i have seen in this scale. So go with the flow. Frank.

That's a fine bit of work Robin. I to have other builds, but better to finish the one you started. Looking good and the grey cells are working mate. I have to use an optimizer some times for my work. Keep it coming. frank

Thanks mike. \\\\\\\\\maybe its the pictures that show the wrong size, but have measured them and they do fit the bill. Thanks Bob,Frank and PTS, sorry to shorten your name . Frank

Cheers guy's. Well its been two day's work so far to get the Cutter hung to the davit. One of the shroud cleats came away, but were getting there now. The Port side should be a doddle('He say's') . Some pictures of the cutter. Once shroud cleat(Dafis etch)are tied on, tried just to glue, and it doe's not work, so recommend that you tie them to the shrouds. Frank

Nice one folks. One more picture of the finished Anchors on the Starboard side, tuther side next. Was a bit of a pain tying the main anchor with a few choice words. So Port side should be a doddle('he say's') Frank

'Hey Daddy', don;t be Grumpy, just hide it . Maybe in Glass Heee. 'But maybe not' . Thanks matey. Frank

Thanks guy's. Well the boats were scratched with just the hulls on two of them and the other two were extended from other boat kits. Well Bob there's lots of different materials on this one lol. Glad you like, with the end in site its nice to put it all together. Frank

Many thanks B.E. Well have left this for some time and it gets buried so quickly. Have now started again with the stern Davits, roped and one side(Starboard) will have a cutter hanging from the davit. Then its the boats now fitted. Jolly boat strapped. The Anchors was next with most done but the Davit and chain on the port side. Some one hiding behind the wheel. frank

Cheer Mike and Bob matey's. Well not really thought on that yet Bob. It will be in a window, so might have to do that. The misses is off across the pond for a month, so I might set down and make one. Been a great experience and still have Victory to finish and Pickle to do. So It will be more to come. Frank

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
