Cheers Keith. Well you know all that furniture I made, well now have added some to the Admirals day room. Just some items for the table, like sexton/maps and such. Maybe a picture of Lady Hamilton on the wall and lights plus curtains. Go's on and on don't it. Frank

Great work OC. As for bleaching deck, again there's no need, it tones down after awhile. Take second picture of the bow end, starts to bleach lighter its self. I hope your convinced by the pictures to the way the deck behaves. Like Hexnut, once you have tried this, you will not turn back from another. Have fun. Frank

Another update. This time on the hammocks, I used the Heller one's for this, lucky I had two sets, the one's that come with the kit are to thin so decided to double up. Sanded down one side of each same length. Glued under pressure. Once dry added plastic filler to the top surface. Sprayed from a can a plastic primer and left to dry. Then sprayed when dry a mix of buff and white(Humbrol) Bit o weathering later, job done. Frank

No need for that OC it will fit around any raised detail. This is a picture of the artwox decking. The raised areas just pop out with the deck fitting perfect. As you see it fits very well, this is my build of the Warspite. Frank.

Cheers guy's. Same here Keith on finding suitable boats, but had some help with these form the Victory and model resource site. So after finding boats from other kits I managed to have five out of the six boats required. All as you see were very basic, but again with a little help from my friends('there's a song there somewhere')I managed to make enuff to give some idea of the types of boats Victory carried. All the oars have to be scratch built, but its a pleasure to get to grips with this, once you have the idea in how to go about it. Next problem is the hammock nets, the Heller one's are not bad but to thin. Lucky I have two sets, so a marriage may be ness. Frank

Cheers OC. Well pretty much finished are the boats. 34 Ft barge, largest. 18 Ft Cutter being the smallest. Started on the oars but short of 1x1 square plastic, 'on order'. But made a start. Frank.

That's a fine job your doing matey. When I first looked at this build I thought what's the Ballahoo going on here. then realised it be a ship, but no ordinary ship. Great work and keep it coming. What ever scale, there are lots of tips to be going on with. Proper job. Frank

Got some paint on, with a sprayed wood effect to start with. The grey on the 18 Ft Cutter is primer. Four out of five started. Frank.

Nice work, are you using any other products, wood deck, PE springs to mind or just OOB. Frank.

Hi David. Well to the paints, the majority are from Admiralty Paints, water based and for me the best for both worlds, plastic or wood. Vallego is the one on the left, again water based and very good too. Thanks for the compliment. much appreciated. The Oars are the next problem to solve, will be scratched using four parts as the upper is square while the rest of the shaft is round, with a round hand piece and of course the spade at the end. Have you decided yet which camo effect you will be using earlier or late. Having built this ship, its nice to see others, mine was water lined. So a full hull will be interesting. Nice start. Frank.

Some more to the other boats needed. First the 34Ft Barge. Added some more detail to the boat. Added tape to the hull for planking. Again the 32Ft Barge. Next is the 28Ft Pinnace. So as not to bore you I have advanced somewhat with this one. Next is the little 18FT cutter, for this one I used a 150 Connie boat, this entailed having to cut in half. Again I added tape to the hull for planking. Last is one of the 25Ft Cutters. This when built will be hanging from a davit. Used a 1/96 Connie boat for this. Added some extra keel plus ribbing. Once up to scratch will be using these paints after a Tamiya primer that coats brass as well as plastic. More soon. Frank.

Well managed to sort out the problem, seems PB have changed the setup. Started on the boats for this ship. Using some from Heller and some from other sources. First the 34 Ft Barge, this has been extended from the Connie ship, have a resin one to take over from this. Ribbed out. Added side supports for the bench's plus Dafis PE grating. Maple wood for the base boards. A coat of primer. Next its the 32Ft Barge, this using the Heller boat. Same principle As other barge with ribbing and supports for bench's. Frank.

Cheers Keith, just what I am doing. But still manage to take a peek at this build and do some small things to it. Marked out the lines for the planking after removing most detail to make again later. But since then Had some more info on what the spacing for planking and layout should be. Thanks to Daniel for helping before I started laying the planks. But did manage to lay a couple of carpets. More soon me thinks. Frank

What you need is some books, there are a lot of good one's out there that will give you all you need to know. Have a look on the Internet for books on Victory. That's your best way, unless your in a hurry that is. Frank

Miss fired again, maybe I ort to check the fire lock say's the master gunner. No let me have another go say's the gun captain. 'Under his breath' say's the swabber, wish they would make up there minds, its near grog time. foxy

Some more progress with the bow. Also added the stool shutes. More deck fitting added. Carpet for the stern cabins. Plus some furniture in the making. More painting and handles to add. Frank
