Welcome back, Kev. I hope you enjoy being back in the shipyard.
I grew up in Elwood many years ago but I've been living in California for over 50 years now. Noblesville was tiny community way back then. My sister lives in Fishers. It's hard for me to believe how much that whole area has changed over the years.
Good luck on your build.

She looks fantastic, Tom! I'm currently reading Joshua Slocum's book, "Sailing Alone Around the World," so your model adds some very good visual perspective for me. It's an amazing story of his love for adventure, the sea and his boat and really captures a sense of time and place near the end of the 19th century.

She looks great, Simon! Your photos brought back memories of my own build of this model.

You might want to read through BE's fantastic build of his Zulu model which is very similar to your Fifie. He made some wonderful accessories such as nets and floats etc which really added a lot of realism to his model.

Those figures look great! It's perfectly fine to post vendors names and links to their websites as long as they are not on the MSW list of banned kit manufacturers who pirate kits from the original manufacturers.

Your painting is fantastic. Are you doing some slight weathering on some of the painted parts?

I'm glad to see that you decided to continue with this build. It's looking great!
Completing this model has been the highlight of my ship modeling so far. It such a beautiful model and it was a pleasure to build.

You've built a fine model of the Emma C Berry. You can put photos of her the MSW Gallery now. I look forward to seeing you build the Amati Fifi now. Good luck!

The Amati Fifi is an impressive model. Be sure to check out this current build log of it by PJG:

Thanks @Old Collingwood
I appreciate it; how is the guitar going? I keep anxiously awaiting a pen duick update 😉
It's going well and I'm really enjoying it. I'm focusing on mostly fingerstyle arrangements of Brazilian bossa nova classics...also a few jazz standards and some Beatles. I just can't seem to pull myself away from the guitar at the moment but I will return to the Pen Duick soon.

Wow...simply fantastic!

Wonderful work, Bob, and the blue looks great. I'm amazed at how quickly you can complete so many steps of the build and do the well to boot!

By the way, Garcia. Do you have anything to do with Model Expo? They have been my favorite supplier on this buid
No, that's not me. I'm in Sacramento. Good luck on you fifi model. Is it the one made by Vanguard Models?

Well done, Ras. She's a beauty. How long did it take you from start to finish?

Nice job, Bob! I love these little dory boats. Great first model.

Welcome Bob. I live in Sacramento and it's always nice to have another fellow northern Californian on board. This is a great forum with lots of experienced modelers who are always willing to lend advice. It's not too late to start a build log for your dory boat. It looks pretty darn good in your photo.
