  1. Thanks for the suggestion Janet. I think I get the idea. Would you happen to have a diagram of the suggested jig, or a picture?
  2. You should be able to get the dremel collets from amazon. The small one that came with my dremel works well for small bits. I'm not sure about the size though, maybe a 1/32?
  3. The portholes on the MS version are pretty much the same. Its just a cast metal porthole inserted into an opening drilled in the hull.
  4. Thanks Rich. I just followed the the plans for the kit which shows the configuration I did. The kits plans are based on the way the ship looks now so I assume the actual ship will have the same configuration. Anatomy of a Ship shows 4 per side also but in a different configuration.
  5. I use a dremel 3000 variable speed and a flex shaft. No issues to report.
  6. Welcome to MSW. Your model looks very good. I had totally forgotten that Model Shipways manufactured Vanguard kits for a short time until I saw your post.
  7. I pulled the trigger on this setup, I decided to get the double action and learn to use it. http://www.tcpglobal.com/itemdetail.aspx?ItemNo=ABD+KIT-4247-IS925
