  1. Welcome to MSW Sterling. I'm just up the road from you.
  2. Welcome to MSW Scott. Thanks for your service!
  3. I have most of their Sovereign of the Seas Kit and I would say its comparable to the quality of most other kit manufacturers out there. As mentioned above there are no plans, just instructions.
  4. Hi Greg. This is still the current log. I have neglected the model for some time now and it sits here on the shelf awaiting my attention. I will be back to it soon I think. I've been focusing more on my other hobbies lately and perhaps secretly working on another model ship. Thanks, Jeff

  6. Hello Juan, welcome to MSW. Take a look at the following link for some good info on tools. http://modelshipworldforum.com/ship-model-materials-and-tools.php
  7. I use the vinegar method also and it works great. I soak the photo etch for about 20 minutes.
  8. Here are a couple of options: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-DRILL-CHUCK-model-ship-wood-kit-pin-vise-1-4-/161527436656?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item259bc91570 http://www.ebay.com/itm/MICRO-DRILL-CHUCK-model-ship-wood-kit-pin-vise-/161527436572?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item259bc9151c
  9. AL makes one also, its pricey but you may be able to find a deal on ebay. Caldercraft was working one one but I'm not sure when, or if it will ever be released.
  10. Thanks for the suggestion Janet. I think I get the idea. Would you happen to have a diagram of the suggested jig, or a picture?
