  1. Welcome Eric. I bought the same kit several years ago and there was a few parts missing from mine also. CC will send your missing parts along pronto.
  2. I think there are a variety of things that may affect difficulty rating such as the number of masts, level of detail, how many parts will need to be scratch built, etc.. Its hard to say what would determine the difficulty level of the two kits without knowing more about them. Here is cornwalls description of each level. http://www.cornwallmodelboats.co.uk/acatalog/difficulty.html
  3. Welcome to MSW! Thanks for sharing your progress with us. Your cross section looks well done. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your build.
  4. Nice work Albert. Are you using a scroll saw or cutting parts out by hand?
  5. Thanks JS! John - JS is correct. Just send him an email and he will send you the price list and order form. You will have to mail the order to him if I remember correctly.
  6. Looking good! You have some innovative ways of doing things. I'll get back to work on mine one of these days.
  7. I have a heard fo a product called Metal Rescue Rust Remover but have never tried it so can't vouch for its success. http://www.amazon.com/Workshop-Hero-WH290487-Rescue-Remover/dp/B005JVNQPQ
  8. I have this kit sitting on the shelf. Looking forward to seeing your build progress.
  9. I can't speak for the Mamoli kit but I'm building the MS version and its a good kit. Just keep in mind that there are quite a few parts that will need to be made from scratch.
  10. Your boats are turning out really well. You could almost do a separate log for the boats. They are a lot of work!
  11. Thanks Mathew! I think the brass looks good and gives nice contrast. It makes those little details easier to see with the naked eye.
  12. I suspect I'll mess up every part at least once, so I'm going too need a large supply of wood. Seriously though, the Conny has been a learning experience, so I know I can do it. I will have to learn some new skills though.
  13. On my way over Mark. I hear the instructions for scratch building are way better.
  14. Thanks Geoff. I guess I'm just getting weary of buying things above and beyond whats in the kit. I'm going to do my best to make use of whats there.
