I like using a syringe but I hate it when I forget to leave the needle in water so the glue dries in the needle.  How do you clean it out or do you throw away and just use a new one?

I have gone through your log several times and am learning something new every time I do.  As for your skin try running a dowel over it in different directions to make the skinning easier.

One of the things I tell people using white glue or CA is less is more.

Job well done on your model Pat and my sympathies as well.  The maintenance guy at work was doubled on the floor from kidney stones and we had to call an ambulance for him.  Later he said it was the most painful experience he ever had.

When was moved my sister packed my stones.  But they left my leather strop.  Now I have to get a new one when I get  chance.

I move back to my digs in Chicago and after a couple of months wound up back in the hospital.  I am now back at my sisters where She can keep an eye on my health.  The doctors are happy and She is too.  I finally found my plans for the Maine am now getting started on the repairs.  This is where I am starting over.

Take an old cheap paint brush and remove the head with the bristles drill a hole on the end and insert a sewing needle then cut the tip of the eye off and you have an applicator for half the price if you were going to throw the brush away anyway.

Looking good Nils. But I am wondering at the rivets and if they are too pronounced for the scale you are in.  I know you like the way they look but aren't you worried about them detracting from the rest of your workmanship? Just wondering and getting jealous again.
