it's been 6 years since the first pictures of this log were posted on 12 september 2016. So today not a big update, but looking back on 6 years of fun, with an occasional dip if something didn't work from the first time 😉 It started as a simple plan to use Aeropicollo's plans. This was quickly given up (bad idea) Septeber 2017 lower hull ready september 2018 interior works september 2019 captain's cabin september 2020 building masts september 2021 Restoring a Singer and sewing Sails 12 september 2022 today, rigging in full process. Hopefully fully ready in 2023 Thanks to everyone who followed, liked, gave advice and supported this build log. Without all of you I would never have made it this far.

Attach the main sail to the mast. First put in to shape with diluted PVA glue In place The gere The parrel The halyard comes neatly next to the mizzenmast stay A lot of rope work will be needed, and the space on the deck will become difficult to access. That's why I'm going also apply the topsail and work from top to bottom.

Great models. -
small update. Most of my free time still goes to the bathroom renovation, luckily the end of this adventure is in sight. With more experience in rigging I attached as much rope to the main sail as possible. This works so much easier and less stressful for arms and back 👍

Make a wooden model and use the fittings and figures of this model. But... but...but... 😉.I can't bring myself to demolish the model for this purpose.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
