Welcome to the build of this unique T34. This was not a standard conversion but a "in the field conversion" of a German unit. The 34 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-34 The 2cm Flak https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2_cm_Flak_30,_Flak_38_and_Flakvierling_38 brief history https://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=8225 UM is a company from Ukraine, these kits have usually good details and are easy to build https://henk.fox3000.com/um.htm (link to the website from Henk of Holland) The box Plans Parts Rubber tires on tankwheels, very unusual Building the chassis. And for the first time problems with a UM kit. Where is part C47?? And... the fenders are too long Problems solved (a piece of sprue is a new part C47 and the fenders shortened) drill out the exhausts Chassis and wheels ready ( needs some more sanding here and there)

After viewing several build logs I tied my sails to the yards this way. (on a English galleon 2nd half of the 16th century) I recently bought the book "Tudor warship Mary Rose" ( a carrack 1st half 16th century) and there is this method D12 and D12/1 Yes , a carrack is not a galleon, and there is little information available about this era. My question: Is the method I used acceptable or is it from a later period?

In my opinion not. The filler blocks seem to come more forward Check out the Bounty build of DaveBaxt . -

ja wadde (Flemish) easily translated as WOW Small update (as always from October on, most of my hobby time will go to military modeling) All sails are tied to the yards. Bought a book as preparation for a next project. To discover this I think I will (have to) do this step all over again 😟 dont now yet 🤔

RFM 1/35 Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf.G-Finished
Baker replied to Javlin's topic in Non-ship/categorised builds
RLM02 is very greenish, so i dont think so. More something ivory white (elfenbein RAL1001) in the crew compartiment Red oxide (primer) in the engine compartment Hatches can be in the same color as the outside but not always these are my ideas But, It may also depend on the paint that was available. Crew interior definitely a light color for better visibility inside Whermacht colors : https://www.militaerlacke.de/fahrzeuglacke/2k-eimergebinde/wehrmacht/?p=1 -

RFM 1/35 Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf.G-Finished
Baker replied to Javlin's topic in Non-ship/categorised builds
Difficult question All my military models are on a base plate, so I pay little attention to the underside Photos of the underside of a panzer IV (and most other tanks) are quite rare. The only hope is to find a picture of a damaged tank (upside down). Nothing found yet https://www.google.com/search?q=panzer+IV+wrecked&tbm=isch&ved=2ahUKEwi-gL74oKbzAhVUrHIEHZAsBaMQ2-cCegQIABAA&oq=panzer+IV+wrecked&gs_lcp=CgNpbWcQDDoHCCMQ7wMQJzoECAAQE1D-uQNYl8gDYIjbA2gAcAB4AIABoQGIAcAIkgEDMC43mAEAoAEBqgELZ3dzLXdpei1pbWfAAQE&sclient=img&ei=SHJVYb68EdTYytMPkNmUmAo&bih=498&biw=1291&rlz=1C1GCEU_nlBE936BE936 A Panzer IV walkaround (again no underside) https://www.scalenews.de/sd-kfz-161-pzkpfw-iv-ausf-g-panzer-iv-walkaround-881/ http://walkarounds.scalemodels.ru/v/walkarounds/afv/before_1950/pz_iv_crocus/?g2_page=1 Ps Here are some images of the bottom plate to see (you tube video) https://ww2live.com/en/content/world-war-2-unique-german-panzer-iv-came-back-life-unearthed-restored-and-displayed-just-5 -

I also follow along. If there are any questions about the IV. Just ask 😉 -
Thanks for comments and likes 👍. Of course anyone is free to use this method. But as already mentioned correct or not? Who knows.

Thanks. I get English lessons for free on this forum 😉👍 Thanks. Bringing this machine back to working condition gave me great satisfaction All sails are stitched and sewn. Now the bonnets are tied. I probably misunderstood the drawings and all this knotwork is not historically correct. But it looks neat (to me). And there's a logic to it The bonnet is very quick and easy to remove. Just loosen the rope on the left side and pull . All the rope come loose and the bonnet falls off the sail. Drawing/result method : Make holes "sewing" Sewing an "eye" to both the sides of the sail. tie up (both sides) front and back All sailes (except the spritsail) Made cleats (D18 / 2) Cleats glued on the yards. Thanks for following, likes and comments

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
