  1. Well done Doris. Congratulations. Nice to see you again in the shipyard.
  2. Good work Julian. Is stove given in the kit or you made it yourself? Mustafa
  3. Very good work Tom. Regards, Mustafa
  4. Beautiful kit, beautiful model and beautiful, clean work Julian. Congratulations. Mustafa
  5. Thank you Onering. Nice to meet you. No i did not dilute it. I applied 3 coats of oil on the model and drying of each coat took around 3 days. Probably because humidity in the city (Kayseri) where i live in is quite low, drying did not take long time. I heard about diluting oil with turpentine too. I think this could solve your problem. The model itself does not smell bad but the cotton cloth, that you use for applying oil, smells really bad if you keep it in the room. Wash or remove the cloth. Have a good day, Mustafa
  6. Thanks Nigel. Yes i bought it from the pharmacy (eczane ) Are you still in the UK? Have a good day, Mustafa
  7. I tried to blacken the brass by ammonia. Firstly i kept the brass in amonnia for 2 hours and then i heated it up by the flame of a lighter. That's the result
  8. Thank you for visiting my log Popeye and thank you for your nice comment
  9. Hi Pav. Thanks for visiting my log. This is my first build. Yes, it was a handmade kit at the beginning that my friend prepared for me. But it turned into a scratch build in time. The kit consisted of keel, bulkheads, masts, deadeyes, some strips for deck and hull planking and some plastic accessories. I decided not to use accessories in the kit and i am making them myself Have a good day, Mustafa
  10. Very nice work Jerry. I have a question if you dont mind. Did you make those barrels and buckets yourself or they were in the kit? Thanks, Mustafa
  11. Thank you friends for visiting my build log and for nice comments and for likes. The pump has been stained and i think it looks realistic.
  12. I decided to rebuild the deck pumps. Because the pumps I've made before seem very simple (first picture)

  14. Hello Nigel. Thank you? I live in Kayseri which is a city in the central Anatolia. It is hot here too but because of less humidity, you do not feel high temperature in closed places. Have a good day.
