  1. I know what you mean. When I built the Victory I had 30 guns fully rigged. The only difference was I did mine with the overspill as coils. Sadly I never finished it due to unforeseen circumstances.
  2. Building this kit myself will keep watching. Your doing a great job so far. Current Build https://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/15683-amerigo-vespucci-by-paul-jarman-mantua-multi-kit-scale-184/
  3. Thanks, can't get over how friendly this site is. Glad I joined and look forward to many years of discussing ship kitsw with you all. Current build https://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/15683-amerigo-vespucci-by-paul-jarman-mantua-multi-kit-scale-184/
  4. Brilliant job on this kit. Your weathering is top rate. I find this very hard to do. Not because I can't but because I like to see a nice clean hull. But you are doing an excellent job and making the ship look so much more like she's been at sea for a while and of course in battle so not able to return to port for a tidy up. I recently completed the older version of this kit with lots of photo etch. This updated kit however is for better and more detailed. Keep up the good work will be following this build. 5. Thanks everyone. Already feel like part of a worldwide family. Have started my build log and will try to work out how to link to it.
  6. Hi, I am building the Mantua kit and it is a top rate kit. The wood is top quality and the fittings are excellent. A big plus is the fact you can buy it as a multi kit. Highly recommend this kit, it will make an excellent model when finished. The picture is just one part of the 8 kit parts, 9 if you include the sail set.
  7. Thanks for the welcomes, will take the weekend to familiarise myself with the way the forum works and will start posting. Just like to say that it is great to see a model ship forum dedicated to all types of kit and not just one medium.
