That's the Imperial Kriegsmarine, which is actually black, white, and red. Nazi Germany had red ensign, with a white and black cross, in the middle of the cross a white circle with a swastika. The jack should have been Red with a white circle, and black swastika

Not everybody has your kit, so give a better photograph of the dry-transfer sheet. The long roman numbers the four columns are the depth markings. Those go near the anchor and a midships (that was the easy part). Is it the 1/350 or 1/200; old or new tool? P.s. You could have posted this in the model kit forum https://modelshipworld.com/forum/137-1901-present-day/ , and you would get the "propper" attention

If you do, will it be like those paintings or the relief? Well done on the rowers, it is quite a colourful group, just the one for the rudder left ... or were there two on a dromon? (Raspberry stain turned out good on the awning )

If I count well there will be at least four more to come: The Kent, Rodney, Ark Royal, and a Dido class destroyer ... after that you'll tackle the space ships, or restart on wood ... ?

People whom try to be so convincing, usually do the oposite, so tell us RGL how many ... When will the first one of your offspring be leaving home? You are going to need some serious space! If not for the boxes, than certainly for the finished models.

An unopened box 😮 ... Don't tell me your models get a chance to disappear in a stock pile!

Very, very nice. Although, I don't think the captain will like the sloppy canvas ...

You'd better watch out, for the Australian tree bear loves twits Anyway Louis 'Twitty' Fly, nothing that couldn't be fixed in a jiffy, can't spot it in that last photograph. The only problem may be the rower having a bulge ...

Never thought to see that on a nautical site ... i.e. not the shooting kind. You really make good progress considering the size and how fragile they are

Clare, Before you tie the rice bales down with rope, you could try to glue some woolen string (beige, and grey-green) on them. Let the glue set, and pull the string off, leaving a somewhat fiberish look. Furthermore, yours look very round, whilst the ones in the picture have an oval look from the side. Probably from being stacked during storage, and/or transit. As Mark said: "the rice bags do really bring the boat to life". Lovely detail.

The guns themselves look real good, but I still feel the PE railings/stanchions are more realistic than those 3D printed ones on the guns

You can't win them all RGL .1 mm on the ledges ... than you have to accept those clunky doors. Besides, do you know for certain the doors were not clunky! Nice quantity of PE on this ship ...

You could have carved some smaller rowers. Now they are all from the same size (more or less ... less is more)

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
