Great job. I do love the washes you do. The ships boats on my Friesland are stacked like yours, With NO plans for chocks between the two. Now after seeing you scratch your own chocks I will take you up on this idea and do the same Beautifully done.

Looks like a nice clean little build.
Don't forget to fair the bulkheads before planking.
    The photo instructions look good.

All the best! Of all the tools you already have, The best tool when used correctly is patience.  But I'm sure you well and truly understand that one. I have not myself built a POF but there are certainly a few on here that have.
I see the Syren is quite popular.
    Welcome aboard.

No primer for enamels.  Will keep that in mind.

S.Coleman got a reaction from Sargon in To use full length planks or not. (EDIT BY MOD)
Its best on a double planked hull to use full length planks on the first layer, This way you get the nice even shape of the hull. Then the second layer with scale planks are easily layed with the right contours.

I think these questions cannot be answered categorically. Points to consider:

    - the glueing of styrene is rather a welding, so painted surfaces do not stick together
    - you have to able to carefully remove all the flash, ejector marks and sometime reshape parts, when the moulds have not been carefully aligned; this may be best done, when the part is detached from the sprue
    - when using enamel paints, there is no need for priming, as these paints usually slightly dissolve the styrene and therefore stick very well
    - the fewer layers of paint, the better; this includes primers
    - for a static model, that is not handled, I would carefully degrease the surface with dishwashing liquid and then even paint directly with acrylics (railway models are handled frequently and the railway modeller, therefore, would give you advice to the contrary)
    - the amount of paint coming out of a spray-can cannot be controlled very well and using these is better left to large surface areas, such as hulls
    - some parts are, indeed, easier to paint, when on the sprue, but this only works, when the area where the parts are attached can be hidden
    - notwithstanding the glueing issue, it sometimes better to assemble parts of the same colour first, as you may need to clean-up excess glue and fill-in seams; the paint may also hide seams
    - if possible, parts of different colour are better painted first and then assembled

Good idea with the extra bracing. I have done this also and I'm glad I did.
It's coming along great. Good job.

I had this on my Lieda pleasure yacht build.
The second picture you have of an apparent hole to below deck looks correct. My plans show the exact same.
The anchor ropes come in the hawse holes, wraps around the windlass once mayby twice, And then head below deck through that hole next the the mast.
I agree with Don about the hawse hole looking too low but the steep angle sounds good.

So... busy tying more blocks. I have the lines from the center of the yards down to their respective Belaying pins. Coiling the excess rope as I go.
Here are the first three ropes belayed.
