  1. Eamon great looking models, if you ever run into troubles, this is the place to be. So many people here will help , just ask you'll see. Good luck on your journey.
  2. Peter, I believe that you can . I think you put your model in the scratch build area, under the right year. Then tag it "Restoration" If this is not right the moderators will change it LOL Good luck on your journey. Welcome aboard!!
  3. I'll tag along, I am sure your brother will love it. Good luck on your journey.
  4. Good luck on your journey #2, remember to ware your mask 😷 when char removing 😁. I found if I used the back side of my 10 blade first sanding was quicker. But it is slow steady work. Good luck Bob M.
  5. David, I looked at a lot of St. Roch builds today the ones that look the best are just in line with the portholes. I even went to the Vancouver Museum web site, their St. Roch portholes are even with the rubbing stake. I think they look good. Can we lower the rubbing stake just a bit or do you have to raise the portholes. I would go for a little tidier than accuarcy but I am a newbie lol.
  6. You can count on our prays for sure Keith, stay strong my friend we are all with you.

  11. Hey David, great to see you. I will follow along for morel support. Looks like a fun model. I won't be back in my shipyard for at least a month or so. But I will be watching . Good luck on your journey!!!
  12. Great discussion, being a relatively new commer, do to my lack of knowledge as to how things are done I relie on the instructions lol. When I coppered mine I followed the book, Chris Watton designed the Pegasus so how could I go wrong. I guess it up to the modeler, start at the water line and work down or start at the keel and work up. Leave the keel open or cover it with copper. After you finish something you always find something better and you say to your self I should have done it like that. Lol 😆
  13. I can add a false keel but who's going to see but us . So after reading this thread, I over lap mine, just followed the instructions lol. But now not sure if it is, done right but it will do lol.
  14. And what kind of engine is in that baby, and how fast have you had it lol. Nice boat too ☺️
  15. Hi Jake, I belive that belaying pins were not use for a hundred years. After the Mayflower, but I would ask @allanyed he my go to guy when I need to know anything, he has the answers lol.
