  1. Hi All, Been awhile. 😀 I’ve had a guitar on the bench for a good month. Our weather has turned for the year, rain, wind and 40-50s are here for 4-5 months, so will have more time on the bench. Is the place for building confession? 😆 I am learning so much on this build. I think you have to be half card modeling engineer and draftsman to catch everything on the drawings (if you can call them that). I was at a loss on how to roll small items, like landing gears, tubes, exhaust pipes etc. and then I spot this on the page… The part that says print on PAPER… not card stock. That would make rolling easier! 😆😖 Then I couldn’t get my body sections to come together nicely so I looked at some other kits and they had connecting strips that were not just pieces of straight paper or card. So I cut the connecting strip to look like: Wow, what a difference which leads us to this. 😀
  2. Ian, I am digging the ham radio! Excellent “happy place”! Cheers! Dave
  3. Tim - Nice Tomcat photo. I was a tomcat maintainer back in the late 70s. Nice shop! 😀👍
  4. Are the canopy pieces all after market plastic? Can’t tell from the photo. 🙂
  5. Nice job Mike, top notch! 👍😀
  6. Thanks Robert, Yes it’s a room filled with memories from my youth. I collect things and have several modeling hobbies; wooden ships, plastic models (mostly aircraft), metal models, RC helicopters and planes… and I build guitars. Now not all that stuff at the same tome you know. It was cumulative over 40+ years of getting into this and that. 😁
  7. The cave is one of the small bedrooms in our house. When we built it, the kids were all gone and I declared this room for my hobby endeavors. Right now the work bench is a card modeling aircraft factory.
  8. I see your a clock collector. Do you refurbish or just collect? I used to build camel back clocks for a business venture.
  9. At least they gave the guy in back seat a stick and pedals. 🙂
