Again a little step at those wonderful quarter gallery's…... The bars for the balcony ( I think it calls that ) are in place. More windows coming above it but that's for later this week. I may go for work again the whole weekend. When everything is on it, it needs a little bit more paint.

Thanks Aldo, When I don't do that I think I'm gonna mess up things and that's something I don't want.

Hi Mick, I know exactly how you are feeling with those metal parts. There should be a law to forbidden the metal parts into a model kit…... The next pairs of metal is glued after removing 7 times because I was not happy with it…... @ Grant, In the Netherlands we are always complaining about the weather…to hot, to cold, to wet, to dark etc etc etc . But yes indeed, the days are gonna be shorter…. We go from spring straight into fall….no summer this year ( ok, only two days ) @ Augie, When you have your promotion we gonna split the bill @ Andy, I still follow everything Augie is saying and what you are posting So come on, go further with the season journey, I need my reading stuff...

Good morning all, Yesterday there was no reason to post because there was nothing to post for me. And to post something without a reason is for me no post. But……now you gave me a reason Thanks Augie, Aldo, Randy for the champagne…... Have I to sit alone at the table now? @ Andy, Thanks. I should be happy when I can go back to the wooden parts. There is not much you can do with metal. You can not shape it, bend it, glue it

Great job Mobbsie! That's a lot of work that you have done! But it looks great! I think I bring my Aggy to you when i have her and when I'm at the stage of coppering But I have one question….. What are you meaning with those rounding on the plates? Overlapping ? Is there an other way then what you've done?

Thank you all. @ Grant, I have to try everything to see what's holding that metal. Now I can go on with the other metal parts…... The quarter gallery goes higher and higher. @ Augie, Thank you also. I almost glued my fingers together with the amount of glue I used @ Robbyn, Also thank you ! I happy how it look this far. Only one day free of work so I think not much progress. @Mobbsie, Maybe you are right about the humidity. We want sunshine, now we have got it……. But it is already over. Two days of 34 degrees Celsius and the coming days it goes down to 16 degrees Celsius…... Winter coat out of the closet again…... Thanks for the head up

Hi Grant, I was first using UHU glue and that didn't work so the next glue was special for model building. Small parts worked perfect but the lower part of the quarter gallery is solid metal , so that didn't work also and at least I try two components glue and that work! When I want to remove it, I have to cut a hole in the hull……. The first two parts of the gallery are on it and need some paint. Maybe I can post tomorrow a picture of that. Not the late shift today but a shift that is between morning and late….. Starting at 13.15 PM till 21.40 in the evening. So only a little painting and then back to work again……. Hi Wayne, Everything is ok. When you are at Maine and you start up the PC, maybe you see a little update Can I order a few hundred of those little "balls" ? And thanks for the confidence ! I smell a little fear?????????? We are so lucky that we have a fleet of cotton balls warships they we don't have the fear that we have some boll weavers in the house…..( I don't know if it is the right word but there was a song in the 60's that was going about a boll weaver or something like that? Maybe someone else can shine a light on it ? It calls the bollweaver song…..

The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
