Thanks Mark, I know that the bow is not the easy thing but overall it looks if she was on the bottom of the sea, pulling up the service and covert with mud. It really looks ........ugly! And to dark and to much traces of glue I’m gonna change it in the future. How longer i look at it ,how more i hate it what i have done. This is not what i normal do.......... Sjors

Paint is on it. I have to do some touching up but that's for later. The hull I'm not happy with so maybe there will be more sand paper or an other planking. For now it's enough for the Señora and I will go on with the Sovereign. Also give me time to see what I want with Señora. Sjors

It’s not a problem to mail OcCre when you have missing parts, they send it right away. But i was asking about the belaying pins and all i’ve got back the answer.....we are sending you the missing parts and a day later ,we do not send it because you have the plastic (short) ones. So i have to remake the pinrails...... I’m happy that i have a lot of spare wood from my Aggy. And Mr. Pucko.....i see that you are from Sweden. Only nice people lives there 🙃😝 Sjors

Hi Mark, I was just reading your log and you are doing a great job! Thanks for showing me how to work At some of the first posts you are saying that this is your last kit from OcCre. I have build a few kits from OcCre but this is sometimes a search for something that is not there. For example the belaying pins. I wrote an to mail to OcCre and the only belaying pins that they have are the plastic ones... So I ask them why they give us on the part list metal ones and extended. They don't give me an answer on that. Also one of the wooden sheets is wrong. It don't mach with the drawings..... Beware of that ! So for me this is also the last kit from OcCre for us. I think I will stay with Caldecraft the next time. Then I see that you are looking for a popcorn machine. There in the corner there is a nice place. Sjors

Thanks Jacek & Peter. @Jacek, It’s not that heavy and when you take a good look you will see that she is standing in the middle of 2 book cases. So the weight goes to 2 sides. Ans i see also on the left and right that there is place for 2 more😄 @Peter! You are just saying the right words... I love to build but when she is standing in our house, only my wife and myself are looking at her. And that home is also for demented older people. So maybe this give something extra to them. Sjors

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
