Thanks again... @ Bug, Work is not that bad ....it cost only a lot of hobby time ..... @ Wayne, The Gnomes want to have a zoo now @ Piet, Why not crow-feet on the Surabaya ????? You can do it !!!!!!!! @ Mark, Thanks !! @ Greg, Also thanks and I shall try to answer your question. When I make the lanyards ( the ropes between the deadeyes ) i tie them down with a single knot. When all the lanyards are on i just let it go that way for say a day. Then I un-knot ( right word ?) the knot and put a little tension to each shroud. When all of them are done I let is go for another day and then I repeat myself. After 3 or 4 days there is no stretch anymore in the rope and it stays like that. I finish the lanyard to the shroud and keep them the same hight. Is this answering your question? If some else has a better explanation ,please be my guest !!!!!!!! @ Hennie, I think that I am in the shadow of your Aggy !!!!!! The only thing that I can do is my best. And I know that there are builders who wants it to be "historical " right. But that's not for me. I enjoy it and that's for me what counts. Sjors

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
