Maybe I missed it somewhere , if so , apology for that but..... Are you put copperplates on that fantastic , planked hull ????? I know for sure that Caldecraft has supply copperplates with the Victory. One day I will do a Victory of my own but I'm waiting for the Victory from Amati, designed by Chris Watton. This build should be a great example for how it has to looks ! Sjors

I'm not waiting anymore !!!!! Today everything was delivered at our home The rope server and the rope..... At the end of this post you will see pictures of it. So delivery from Germany is just as long as a delivery from the USA....6 days ! Long live all the postman's around this globe And now you can yel, common start making those stay's.....no excuses anymore but to bad for you, I have one excuse..... I ordered the wrong color for the stay's ! They should be black and ( my mistake ) I ordered beige So I ordered new one and will wait for that. In the mean while I'm gonna sit just relaxed and will staring at the rope server And think what fun I'm gonna have with it when I can use it sometimes this year Sjors

Kevin, The arrows that you have placed are pointing to the bob stay's ....all 3 of them. The bowsprit shrouds are on the side of the hull. Just under the first gun port looking from the bow. Sjors

Thank you for the support !!!! I just received an E-mail that my rope server is on the way to this little country. Quick service !!!!! So thanks for that !!!!!! When I also have my rope I can go further on the journey @ Wayne, Between looking at a picture and seeing it in real time is a big difference !!! But as everyone is saying.....when it is giving you bad feelings with what you have done....re-do it !!!!!! And with this one I'll be re-doing things all the time @ Ulises, I don't know if it is courage or stupidity (the sense of satisfaction you will get will be enormous!!! ) I love this line !!!!!!!!!! @ Jason, The mizzen mast and a part of the main mast have there ratlines....... But not at my usual standard so now I get another change........ @ George, Just what I was saying to Wayne.....there is a difference. Also when I make a picture., I can play with it. It can be looking better then how it really is...... @ Christian, Thanks !!!!!!!! Sjors

An update who is not a update....... I have to take all the shrouds down and make them again.... Why ? Because there are to many mistakes on them. I served the wrong one ( only one I have served because my rope server is broken ) That's why I also not served the stay's..... The snake is not what I want....it looks clumsy. The rope that I used for the shrouds get there are snap strands ( I use google translation for that snap strands....I hope it is correct ) So I removed all of it and will do it again. Ordered rope at Morope and ordered a new rope server by the Syren company..... When there is an update again I will show you . For now....have a nice day and I will be working again ! Sjors

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
